"Okay, Mrs. Amber. Your turn. Truth or dare?"

We had decided on Truth or dare. I was leaning against Bobbys arm, and every now and then I noticed Beckett glance over at me. I wonder what that's all about? He was probably just concerned, but I couldn't help but hope that there was something more behind his looks. I shook my head and straightened to answer Tez's question. I always picked truth, because I knew from experience that picking dare when playing with teenagers was a very bad idea. "Truth." I said, fixing him with a glare. I was still a little mad about him kissing that other girl, even if I had no right to be. He said he liked me when he was talking to Damon, but he didn't act like it.

Cortez smirked and rolled his eyes at my reply and tapped his chin, thinking of what to ask me. Finally he threw his arms up and looked around the circle. "How about... Why don't you tell us... Hmm, I don't know. What's a good one, guys?" Bobby smirked down at me before saying, "Who- out of all of us- is your favorite? No, wait. Which one of us would you date if you had to?"

Was I the only one who was totally expecting a question like that?

I shrugged and looked around the circle of boys. I really didn't have an answer... Damon was so nice to me, even though he was all tough guy around everyone else. He was sweet and funny. Beckett was very caring and sweet and was always there to take care of everyone. Bobby was fun and he and I had so much in common, it was uncanny. We fit like puzzle pieces. Cortez was hot, but the attraction stopped there. He wasn't exactly 'boyfriend material'. He wasn't all that sweet and kind and caring... But he wasn't necessarily a complete asshole either. Emmett... He was like a brother to me, the same way Greyson and Dimitri were like brothers and best friends. Yeah, he had the same qualities as the other guys, but... I just didn't see him that way. I tapped my a chin with my finger, mostly just for effect. I leaned my head back on Bobby's shoulder before answering.

"Uhm, I dunno. You guys are all nasty; I don't wanna date any of you."
Lies.

Bobby groaned and lightly smacked the back of my head. "I said, if you had to date one of us, who would it be? Who's your favorite?" I frowned a bit and glared at him. "That's an unfair question. I pass." Bobby laughed and gave me a look that said Seriously? I got up off the floor and started walking to Beckett's room, stumbling a little. Beck jumped up to help me and I took his hand gratefully. He smiled at me as he let me in first, and then followed. I flopped down on the bed face first, and I stayed there for a second before I realized that I was only wearing Beckett's hoodie, and I was probably giving him a front row view of my ass. I rolled over, but accidentally rolled right off the bed. Not my most graceful moment. Beckett chuckled and lifted me into his arms and carried me, bridal style, back to the bed. He gently laid me down before pulling the blankets up to my chin and kissing my forehead before walking to the door. I frowned and grabbed his hand, pulling him onto the bed. He looked at me, wondering what the hell I was doing, and I opened my arms to him like a small child wanting a hug. He let out a laugh and laid down next to me. I wrapped my arms around him and he did the same to me. I smiled and breathed in his clean sent. He kissed the top of my head and mumbled "goodnight, Amber" before I was lost to sleep.

Waking up in the morning with Beckett's arms around me was something I could definitely get used to. I was warm and had a fuzzy feeling... What was this kid doing to me? He gave me butterflies even when he was sleeping! I tucked a strand of his hair behind his ear but I woke him up in the process. He smiled lazily at me before his eyes drifted closed again. I fell back asleep listening to soft beating of his heart.
