'Six years ago, she approached the emperor and conceived us to rise up the social ladder.
She was a commoner that became the stepdaughter of a viscount and was both intelligent and beautiful enough to approach the emperor. The emperor favored her for only one night. If we, the newborns, hadn't had blonde hair, we probably would've been killed by him.
Arjen, Arien, and Aria will be their names. The only thing I can recall is the emperor granting us our names.'
'So what?' Aria thought. 'He abandoned us at this castle and we have been neglected ever since. He forced us to live like this.'
"Your Highness..." Haiden trailed off. "I know, I know its not right to think of him like this. And I know this is what makes you weak. But—" Aria said. "Your Highness...no, Aria. Please don't think of it like that." Haiden cut her off. "Please don't think that what you do, think, or feel makes me weak. You are my strength, my life, and my lo--" Haiden suddenly stopped talking, looking at the side with a suspicious red hue on his cheeks.
"What" Aria asked, suddenly curious of her beloved guardian's weird state. "N-nothing Your Highness" Haiden stuttered. Aria wanted to talk about it more but suddenly heard her sister's voice.
"Beautiful" Arien thought, looking at the palace seemingly out of her reach. Suddenly, Arjen pulled them behind a large branch on the tree. "Someone's here" Arjen warned telepathically. 'Huh?!!'
In front of them appeared a handsome, brown-haired man clad in luxurious clothes. "Who is he" "Who..." The two elder triplets thought simultaneously as they pulled their youngest, but tallest sibling behind them. At the same time, Haiden looked at the young man, seemingly recognizing him, as he spoke.
"Who are you guys?" The man said coldly. His tone made two of the triplets tremble, the other one preparing the hidden card (not literally) up her sleeve, one that not even her siblings she told about.
"If you don't answer, you will not be able to withstand what might happen to you" The young man continued, his purple eyes seemingly glowing in the night.
The triplets flinched at the tone of the terrifying man if front of them, the youngest stealthily getting in front of her siblings to protect them, should the young man do anything to them.
'Such bloodlust...I felt shivers down my body' Arien thought. 'Rurahel is nothing compared to him. This is the voice of someone with true authority.' Aria thought.
"He looks fancy." Arjen told them telepathically, skeptical about the rich-looking young man in front of them. "He's definitely not a regular person" He continued. "We should pretend to be scared like normal 5 year old children" Arien suggested. 'Would it even work?' Aria thought, suddenly remembering what they looked like right now.
"Ha..." The young man sighed, a hand covering his mouth as he fully gazed upon the triplets. "This...I wasn't expecting..."
"What's wrong with him." Arjen said suspiciously. "It's dangerous over there so please come here." The young man said nicely, with a warm smile, as if he wasn't threatening them a while ago.
