Fell For The Innocent - 7

Abhimanyu pulled her into a tight hug making her go shock.

"You made me scared" He whispered. Akshara was too stunned to react. After some time when Abhimanyu realised his action, and immediately pulled away and got up from the stool.

Clearing his throat he spoke, "Are you insane? Who the hell holds the glass pieces. Thank god that it did not cut your wrist." He said.

"It would have been better if my wrist would have cut and I would have died, atleast I could have gone to where my family is." She whispered sadly.

"Akshara" Abhimanyu sighed. He sat near Akshara and held her hand in his.

"Akshara, I know you are going through a lot. But please keep yourself safe and healthy. Not for yourself but for the people around you, who cares for you. Look at your family, they are all worried." He said. Akshara let out a small laugh and spoke,

"Family? Care? Seriously Abhimanyu? If they would have really really cared about me then they wouldn't have hid the fact that my bhaiya had very less time with us. For God sake, I did not even get a chance to spend time with my brother." Anger was clearly visible on her face. Abhimanyu was shocked seeing this side of hers. He never knew the shy and innocent Akshara can be this sarcastic and angry.

"Akshara I know you are going through a lot but please try to understand, giving yourself pain make you more vulnerable and sick. Please take care of yourself. Please." He requested. Akshara looked in his eyes, it had a different emotion. Sincerity, pain and broken. His eyes immediately changed its color when he caught her starring. He got up from the stool and walked towards the door.

"I'll check whether the discharge papers are ready or not? Vansh and Aarohi are here to pick you up." He said and was about to leave the room when Akshara stopped him.

"Umm.. Abhimanyu, if you don't mind.. I mean you shouldn't mind but is it ok if I come with you to your house? I mean I can obviously. Bahu hoon uss ghar ke but phir bhi if you don't mind can I?" She asked. Abhimanyu looked at her surprised and smiled before nodding his head.

Abhimanyu and Akshara stood at the entrance of Birla house while Manjiri was performing the aarti to welcome them.

"Maa jaldi karo." Abhimanyu whined. Manjiri glared at her and continued with her ritual.

When both Abhimanyu and Akshara entered inside, Akshara was surprised to see the house, it's not like the first time she is seeing, but it made her feel homely.

"Welcome home bhabhi." Neil said and pulled her into a hug.

"Neil aaram se.. She is injured." Abhimanyu said and immediately pulled him away from her.

"Oh hoooooo" Shefali, parth and Neil said  in unison. A glare from Abhimanyu made them shut up.

"Accha enough now. Akshu beta you go and have some rest. I had already told the maid to clean up Abhi's room." Manjiri told lovingly.

Akshara was lying down on the bed lost in her own thoughts while Abhimanyu was downstairs with his siblings. Suddenly a tear fell from her eyes remembering about the events that took place today. And slowly, she did not knew when she started crying covering herself with the duvet.

Suddenly the duvet was pulled away and she was taken into a tight hug by her sister, Aarohi. Seeing Aarohi, Akshara started crying more loudly hugging her back.

"Aaru.. Please bring back my brother..please.. Tu.. Tu doc..doctor haina, Tu kuch bhi kar sakti hai please le aa mere bhaiya ko wapas." Akshara said in between her cries.

"Akshu chup hoja please. Look Bhaiya wouldn't like seeing his baby sister cry like this. Please Akshu." Aarohi tried consoling but everything went in vain.

"Akshu even I've lost my brother but...but I'm trying to cope up. Please Akshu tujhe bhi try karna hoga." Aarohi said. Something striked in Akshara's mind and she pushed Aarohi a bit.

"NO.. NO... I cannot cope up with the loss. You guys at least got to spend time with bhaiya but what about me? I did not even know about his health. Why?" Akshara shouted at her sister.

"Because we care for you Akshu. Please try to understand." Aaru pleased. Tears started to fall from her eyes.

"You'll not understand the pain Aaru. Bhaiya wasn't your real blood na Aaru so you won't understand. Apne ko khone na dard Tu nahi samjhegi." Akshu told without thinking.

Aarohi stood there looking at her sister in a shock. She couldn't believe what her sister told her. Taking a deep breathe Aarohi spoke,

"Akshu I've loved you and bhaiya more than anything in my life. You both mean the world to be. Never say that I don't care for you Akshu, you are my everything. Please take care of yourself." Aarohi told and left the room.

Akshara started crying as soon as her sister left. Rubbing her eyes she saw Abhimanyu standing near the door looking at her in sympathy. She immediately got up and went to the washroom banging the door shut and fell on the floor.

Aarohi's Pov:

I sat in the balcony, with my knees pressed into my chest. Tears were continuously rolling down my cheeks.

"Mumma I miss you, I miss you so much. I... I don't deserve to be here ma, I don't. Ma I never looked Akshu or Kairav as my step siblings. I always loved them as my own but..but aaj Akshu ne jo bola usse mujhe pata chalta hai ke I.. I don't deserve here ma. Mene aapko promise kiya tha that..that.. I'll always be here with Akshu and take care of her.. But she has got Abhimanyu and a new family mumma and they will keep her very happy. I.. I cannot see Akshu hating me Ma. I.. I ccannot.. I'm all alone. I don't have anyone here ma.... Thats why, Today I'm going to take a very important decision of my life, hope you'll accept it."

I picked up my mobile and called the person.

"Love.. Can you please take me away from here." I said and cut the call immediately not bothering of his reply.

It's been 15 min since Akshara went inside the washroom. Abhimanyu sat on the bed Worriedly as he heard nothing from inside.

"Akshara. Akshara please open the door. Say me that you are fine." He asked banging at the door but he heard no reply from inside.

"Akshara I'm going to break the door if you don't open it right now." He said but again received silence as a reply from inside.

Without even thinking for a moment, he broke the door and went inside. When he saw Akshara, his body went numb and eyes widened.
