Kyle play 18

Kyle adjusted his costume and smiled brightly watching the stage before he walked out quickly he looked at the girl as she spoke before he smiled "You don't have to say good night this early. After all, your father isn't home." 

The girl looked to him quickly "How did you know my father wasn't home?" 

Kyle slowly walked towards her smiling "Oh, I have a way of knowing things"  He relayed his lines with practiced ease, smiling his charming smile at her the whole time. Before he turned away as he stood from the seat next to her. His eyes flicked across the crowd before he delivered his next lines turning back to her again. He took a slow breath glancing out to the crowd as he began singing "You wait, little girl, on an empty stage, for fate to turn the light on." He paused then looked to her continuing "Your life, little girl, an empty page that men will want to write on." He smiled and held out his hand as she sang back to him 

They continued their performance before he held her hand to his lips pressing a chaste kiss to it before he left. He frowned at the teacher and whispered "have you seen my father out there?" 

The teacher looked to him and shook her head frowning as she looked out from the edge of the stage "I can't say I do see him Kyle. Are you sure he was getting off tonight for this?" 

Kyle nodded "He said he was going to tell the Sargent." He frowned and leaned back against the back wall watching the stage before he looked back to the teacher smiling "don't worry about it to much. He must have been busy." 

The teacher looked at him "Kyle I have been meaning to ask why didn't you go for the lead this time?" 

Kyle looked at her "Because I love that song." He laughed quietly "Besides. Not everyone can do a good Rolf I know I can." He smiled warmly. He stepped away getting changed to his next costume and waited by the side of the stage. His eyes skating across the crowd again freezing as his eyes landed on Leon sitting with his father in the back. He nervously tugged at his sleeves missing his cue.

His teacher tapped his shoulder "Kyle are you okay?" 

Kyle looked up to her then at the stage gasping softly as he quickly walked out fumbling through his lines before he hesitated and walked back to the side of the stage. The girl who dueted with him ran off the stage after him 

She grabbed his arm and looked at him in concern "Ky!?" 

Kyle looked at her "I." He hesitated then shook his head turning her to look at the audience "Look at the back row. My father you know him. his new boyfriend is here." He looked at her "I am very nervous." He took a deep breath 

the teacher walked out on the stage smiling "everyone we are having a small intermission please get refreshments and use the restroom." She walked back stage again and looked at Kyle "Are you okay?" 

Kyle nodded and looked up to her "I didn't know Dads boyfriend was coming." 

the teacher raised a brow "what do you mean Kyle?" 

The girl nodded "Yeah Kyle's dad is dating his body guard or something" 

Kyle blushed lightly "wowwww." He looked at her "Nice." He looked back to the crowd then looked up to the teacher "Can I go ask my father what his boyfriend is doing here?" 

The teacher nodded "of course Kyle. hurry back." 

Kyle nodded and ran down the stairs and out to the theater seats. He walked quickly up the aisle and sat next to his father "Dad why is your boyfriend here?" 

Hal looked at him smiling "Leon wanted to support you." 

Kyle looked up to him quietly then leaned back in the seat rubbing his face "I messed up my lines. I wish you had warned me." 

Hal smiled and kissed his cheek softly "Bud. You are still doing a great job. just do what you do best." 

Kyle looked up to him then back to the stage quietly before he nodded once "I am a pretty good actor." He rubbed his neck "alright." He looked up to him "But this better not happen again. I want more warning before I see the him again." He got up and smiled at leon before he walked back down the aisle 

Hal leaned closer to Leon "He didn't expect you to join us." He smiled warmly watching the stage 

Kyle grabbed his water bottle and took a drink before he walked to the side stage again letting the teacher finish her announcement of the intermission being done. 

The girl hugged him reassuringly "You good now?" 

Kyle looked at her "yeah I'm fine." He fixed her hair a bit then smiled "better get out there." 

She rolled her eyes and ran out on the stage getting in position at the opposite edge of the stage 

Kyle leaned back against the wall again and took a deep breath before he walked out on his cue slowly turning as if lost 

A boy stood up "What do you want?" 

Kyle jumped and looked at him "Oh! Captain! I don't see. Er.. I mean I didn't know.. Uh." He saluted "Heil!" He watched the boy step closer and parroted his line before he turned and walked off the stage quickly. He changed into the costume from the start again and sat in a chair waiting for the rest of the play to go by before he stood and walked on the stage bowing with the rest of the cast before he walked off the stage and changed to his normal clothes. He glanced to the door and quietly packed his costumes away before he picked his duffle bag up and walked out the door slowly walking to his father. "We have another play coming up. I'm going for the lead in that one. I think the lead has nice songs for that one." He smiled warmly and pulled his ring out putting it on as he listened quietly before he was pulled away by one of his friends

Hal watched him then smiled looking to Leon "I'm sorry children cant really be tamed." He watched Kyle amused 

Kyle laughed and shoved the boy back lightly "Get off man" He rolled his eyes fixing his hair before he looked around "were you being serious?" 

The boy nodded "well obviously. he came to seee meee" 

Kyle looked at him and laughed "Yeah right you have a girlfriend and everyone knows because you shove her in everyone's face" 

The boy laughed softly "So was he here to witness you loose your nerve Ky?" 

Kyle crossed his arms blushing "My dad brought his boyfriend! I was nervous!" 

The boy gasped and looked beyond Kyle with wide eyes "oh my god! That's so fucking cute!" He looked back to Kyle "so you have two dads now?"

Kyle rolled his eyes "No. My dad is just dating him right now." He looked around again then let his eyes land on the taller boy before he moved closer to his friend "he is still so dang cute." 

The boy looked to Kyle's crush and then back to him "He looks like a puffed marshmallow!" 

Kyle smirked playfully "a tasty marshmallow" He nudged his friend laughing 

Hal hesitated and slowly covered Kyle's mouth "Ky bud. please stop thirsting over a boy and just go talk to him?" 

Kyle looked up to Hal silently then pushed his hand away "No way! That could ruin the whole charade! Right now he is mister genius hot guy with great muscles. If I talk to him and he's an idiot he will just be eye candy and I am not here for that soooo." He crossed his arms "I will fantasize" He looked to his friend and shifted his bag a bit before he looked up to Hal "Can we go this is a heavy bag." 

His friend looked towards his own parents then patted Kyle's back "See ya later Ky!" He ran off to his parents quickly

Kyle watched after his friend then slowly looked back up to Hal holding his bag out

Hal chuckled and took the bag shaking his head "Youll never know until you talk to him" he walked to the door "you two coming or are you gonna oogle Kyle's crush too?" He watched Leon playfully grinning

Kyle blushed and crossed his arms "I will have you know no one is Oogling anyone!" He huffed walking out past Hal quickly. He stopped at a post board signing his name to the auditions for the next play before he ran his hand through his hair huffing again as he walked out. He paused and kicked a rock quietly "Frustrating old man."
