Awake

Aonungs eyes shot open hearing the voice again in the same words that was said long ago he was desperate trying to hear it again, He gasped as he awake all the pain suddenly rushing over him he cried out, Neteyams head snapped to his direction "Aonung!" He exclaimed falling over trying to pull himself to him as he was across the room preparing the ointment for Aonungs wounds.

Aonungs head turned in Neteyams direction thinking it was a dream "Neteyam?" He questioned unable to move his eyes wandering over the boy "No it cant be" he groaned in pain, "Shh shh, dont talk nung its alright focus on healing" Neteyam said finally managing to get over to him the egg above Aonungs head wrapped in cloths Neteyam had set down before turning his attention to Aonung again and smiked at him he touched his face "Ma nung" he mumbled with tears in his eyes.

Aonung tried to move his hand to touch Neteyam's his eyes quickly looked to his arm "My..My arm?" He said as he looked back to Neteyam breathing heavily he started panicking slightly "It was completely crushed..Im sorry your father had to cut it off because it wasn't fixable" he mumbled Aonung just looked at him "You..are you really here?" He asked staring at his lovers golden eyes, Neteyam smiled "Yes, Im not completely sure how though, I came back after I pushed you to my father with the water i cant remember anything after that" he explained Aonung just nodded staring at him, his eyes started to water as he started to cry, Neteyam gently hugged him, Aonung wrapped his right arm around him lightly and he sobbed.

After a while Aonung had stopped crying and was just talking to Neteyam occasionally stopping at just staring at him his eyes full of love, Neteyam layed next to him quietly listening to every word and would smile and hide his face everytime Aonung stared at him, "I missed you..so much" Aonung said quietly Neteyam closed his eyes "I know, I missed you too, I was always here but you could never see me you couldnt hear me.." Neteyam mumbled "I wanted you to move on to be happy" he said opening his eyes looking at his blue eyes "but..I was happy every time you refused a mate I guess I just didnt want to give you up..even if I was dead" Neteyam said tears in his eyes Aonung put his right hand to Neteyams cheek "I only wanted you, if you can't be my mate then I dont need one" he said pulling him down their heads touching "..Can I?" Aonung asked, Neteyam smiled his hands shaking nervously "Yes.." he mumbled as Aonung smiled pressing his lips to Neteyam's.

"Uhm..cough cough.." A voice suddenly said from behind them they both jumped quickly turning to the opening "Well..Great to see your awake, I see I should have Knocked" Tsireya said with a small embarrassed chuckle, "This the second damn time" Lo'ak said from behind Tsireya, she giggled "We came to check on you guys, how are you feeling?" She said walking in Lo'ak following, Neteyam moved from Aonung a bit "Im ok, theres a lot of pain but ill be ok" Aonung said feeling a bit embarrassed being caught again.

Neteyam slid across the floor to grab the ointment he had left on the ither side of the room "Bro- you can ask for help your still learning to walk again" Lo'ak said walking to Neteyam he slapped his hand as he leaned to help him "No I can do it" he said in a huff of determination and stubbornness, Lo'ak shook his head and Tsireya laughed, "Wait Tey you cant walk?" Aonung asked turning his head, Neteyam stared at him with a 'you serious?' look, "Yeah no cause im just crawling around on the floor to be quiet" he said sarcastically "I havent walked in like three years nor have I moved, in this body at least" he said staring at his lover, "Oh-" Lo'ak grinned "We sure the akula didnt take some of his brain cells?" Tsireya smacked his arm "Quit it" she glared making Lo'ak apologize.

Neteyam crawled back over with the ointment and started gently taking off the bandage and applying the ointment and putting fresh bandages, Neteyam had watched Ronal do this so he just followed what she had done, Tsireya was sitting next to Aonung hugging his head gently saying she missed him then scolded him for running off the way he did then cried, Lo'ak knew it was better to just stay to the side in case she needed him.

"One of you should probably go and get Ronal" Neteyam said staring at them as everyone thought she was probably worried sick as to when her son would wake up, Tsireya nodded letting go of Aonung "I'll go" She responded getting to her feet and walking out of the pod, Lo'ak stood there awkwardly "I cant believe everything.." Lo'ak mumbled as he was still trying to grasp everything "I cant believe your back, I cant believe you got attacked" he said to them Aonung looked at him "Im sorry That thing was scary as hell" Aonung said looking at Lo'ak he just laughed "Yeah but i was able to get away" Aonung rolled his eyes "Your spirit brother helped you ok" he coughed out.

Lo'ak looked at Neteyam "Im sorry..for what I said..Brother" he mumbled Neteyam grinned "Skxawng" was all he said as he looked back to Aonung who was just staring at him again, Neteyam rolled his eyes and put a hand over Aonungs eyes "Quit looking at me like that" Aonung just laughed.

"Aonung!" The three heard as Ronal rushed into the pod quickly "Oh my son, oh Ewya.." she gasped, out of breath from running "are you alright? No no, how do you feel?" She asked holding onto his face "A lot of pain but ill be fine I am a warrior yes?" He said with a pained grin "Do not act touch right now your missing an arm" she said staring at him he just slightly shrugged "Guess I will have to learn to do tasks with one arm" he said Neteyam shook his head as he strapped the egg to him again.

Aonung stared at him "What- where did that come from?-" he asked in confusion Neteyam just shrugged "When he came back to the surface it was in his arms and he hasn't let it to far from his sight since" Neteyam shrugged "I have a feeling I should keep it" was all he said as he finished tying the egg up.

Aonung just stared at it in confusion "Is it gonna like- Hatch?" He asked everyone shrugged not sure "So no one knows what it is? What could be inside the egg-" he asked "It kind of looks like our eggs-" he said taking a good look at the egg.

(we are gonna say they lay eggs like alligators or something)

"Dont be dumb dude theres no way? Maybe its like a big rock?" Lo'ak said Aonung just stared at him "your the dumb one" he replied pushing off the thought about the egg, Neteyam just kept the egg close.

"Whatever imma go now Ill see you later brother" he gently hugged him and got up and left
