"Another tiring day..." huffed the young man, letting his cape fall off his shoulders. It had been a tiring day for the Prince of Ravenna. The meeting at Frostmill really took longer than he thought. Who knew the citizens would be this peeved off about the delayed cargo? Well, he kind of understood, but damn.
In addition, he had to deal with some bandits that had decided to terrorize Rubica, of all towns. Not to mention the other meeting with the mayor of Palo Island. Oh well. At least he doesn't have to do this everyday. His brother was the one that dealt with these kind of things. He just served as the figure that people looked up to if his brother went onto another one of his trips.
Soon, as he would snap himself out of his thoughts, he reached the grand doors of his room, situated in one of the halls of Ravenna Castello. On each side of the door, stood a guard, guarding the room with their very life. Once the both spotted the Prince, they would bow down to him. "Welcome back, Prince Revon." they both said in unison.
He just nodded his head, slipping inside. He closed the door behind him, his gaze moving upon his bed. On it, his beloved was standing, reading a book. They seemed to have been waiting for him. Once they heard the sound of someone coming in, their eyes moved to meet Revon's, their expression changing to a welcoming and warm one. "Welcome back, babe."
Revon didn't say anything. Instead, he just went up to the bed and flopped on top of the mattress. (Y/n) chuckled, putting the book down on the nightstand, moving closer to him, wrapping their arms around him, basically spooning him. "Aw, my tired Prince." they sighed, placing a kiss on his cheek. "Was today that bad?"
"You have no idea." muttered the royal, looking up at his lover, nuzzling against their neck. "Goodness, you're warm. I wish I could stay like this forever." "You're not the only one." the (y/b) massaged his scalp, the simple action making Revon hum.
"I love you so much, (Y/n). Thank you for being here by my side." spoke the Prince groggily, placing his hand upon their cheek. "No need to thank me, my love. I will always be here by your side, no matter what. And I love you, too."
