'Am I dreaming?' Mitch thought to hiself. It just can't be.

"Oh Kirstie! Its so nice to see you!" Mitch's mom then came to view. She just looked like a normal teenager. She wears a pair of skinny jeans and a shirt with matching pair of sandals.

"Auntie!" Kirstie exclaimed. Mitch's mom hugged her.

Mitch just stood there, his jaw almost dropping but somehow manage not to.

"Come in, Kirstie! The food is ready. We have so much to talk tonight" Mitch's mom told Kirstie. Is it just Mitch's imagination or did her eyes narrowed at him?

They all sat on the chairs around a square table. Kirstie and Mitch's mom are talking while Mitch was just staring at Kirstie. The way her long, curly, brown hair falling on her back that reaches her waist, the way her mouth turns into a smirk when a topic facinates her, the way her piercings at her eyebrows and the way her brown eyes light up when she likes the food she was eating. He truly missed her.

Kirstie feels Mitch watching her and she fought back the blood rushing to her cheeks.

Soon the dinner was over. Mitch's mom insists that she would just do the dishes.

"Uhm, Mitch?" Kirstie spoke hesistantly, trying to keep the nervousness creeping into her stomach everytime.

Mitch turned at her and raised his eyebrows. "Yeah?"

"Can I talk to you?"

Those 5 words. Those 5 words Mitch feared the most. But he fought back the butterflies on his stomach.

He just nodded and the both of then went outside. They just sat in silence. A little bit akward, if you ask Mitch. Finally, Kirstie spoke up.

"How are you, Mitch?"

Mitch thought back all the pain he gone through. All the longings, all the empty feelings in his heart. He feels his eyes tearing up and he fought  back the sob that is making way in his throat.

"I'm okay."

According to studies, this is one of the lies you can hear everyday, Kirstie thought.

"I-uh. I actually don't know what I feel. Surprised? Anger? Sadness?" Mitch stated, looking sideways to Kirstie.

Kirstie was speechless. She do not know what to say.

"Do you have a girlfriend, Mitch?" she ask, bracing herself on the possibilites of his anwer.

"Yes, I have."

(im supposed to end here but i feel evil ((well not exactly)) for leaving you on last chapter so, ill just continue)

Kirstie felt her heart broke. She felt numb. How can you Mitch?

"Oh, wow. Congratulations. Who is it?" Kirstie was surprised how she managed to not break down in front of him.

"Kendall. It's Kendall."

Mitch was just staring ahead, afraid to see Kirstie's broken expression and tears on her beautiful brown eyes.

Kirstie's phone rang, startling them both. Kirstie looked at Mitch. "I should go. See you next time, Mitch"

Kirstie then run out of Mitch's house. Mitch tried calling her but his voice failed him. He just looked at the ground and walked inside his house.

Kirstie just keep running. Running until her feet hurt. Running until the muscles of her legs ache. But, Kirstie doesn't feel any of that. She's just too numb. Making sure Mitch doesn't see her, she broke down with a cry, releasing all of her emotions as she feels alone and broken on an empty street with nothing but herself and the salty tears running on her cheeks.
