The Only Thing

If poetry is called nature, its motion will be the wind and rustling of the leaves will be regarded as a song. Simple things can be fit into art in more than one possible way a person could imagine. Yet sometimes, Yuri is loss in words to speak such relative-ness of the simplicity.

And sometimes it made her head whirl, it spins and she sees swings and slides. And a tiny girl that she remembers from her childhood, a pouring of nursery rhymes then the flip of one's blonde hair and the significance of her smiles.

Yuri likes to see Jessica smile

She always likes to see Jessica smile, it soothes her and that's one thing she wants to see when she grows up. The thing she likes to see when she grows old and have white hair and hazy eyes and wears thick glasses. The thing that makes her giddy, Yuri thinks that she will kiss Jessica even if her lips are wrinkled.

Even if they are old...

But when Jessica pushes her away every time she comes close, Yuri frowns. She dejectedly looks away and thinks back to what she had done wrong. Is it how she whispers into Jessica's ear that is wrong? Or is it the way she always glances at Jessica because the girl is the most beautiful - not just in the world ... but in the galaxy... Jessica is brighter than the stars and she's the beaut.

Yuri wonders if Jessica knew how beautiful she was...

So beautiful

Maybe Jessica doesn't know and Yuri thinks she will be the one telling her that - the only one telling Jessica. She imagines Jessica in her arms, rests against her shoulders with dreamy eyes. The dreamy eyes that Yuri will swim in... swims and dives... forever and then another eternity... Yuri imagines again... kissing Jessica on the lips.

She imagines how it will taste like...

How it starts

How it lingers

How it ends

And how she feels like she cannot stop kissing an angel...

But that's an imagination. In reality Yuri doesn't hold Jessica. No, that's just fan service and she feels like she is going to cry. Cry so hard that she doesn't want to know anything else...

Because Jessica says the word to her again today: "I can live without love"

Yuri feels hurt and her heart breaks again. She waits for another second and inquires, again and again. She asks this everyday and wishes that Jessica will change her words. Always wishes...

But no, she didn't change, she never does and Yuri cries...

Cries and whispers, she clings to Jessica before the blonde hair girl leaves

Jessica doesn't look behind and she leaves Yuri. She's not ready and she isn't sure when she will be... all she can do is asks the girl to wait...

"A little longer please" She whispers but so soft that she doesn't want Yuri to hear, "For me a little longer... and we can grow old together..."

But everyone knows that what Yuri wishes is impossible, she grows old now. Although there's something they tend to forget. Yuri hears the word and her heart flutters and it's the only thing that makes her want kiss to Jessica again and again...

So Yuri waits by Jessica's side, years pass and she still waits...

So many years and Jessica isn't ready yet... but Yuri can wait for today, she can wait for tomorrow... or the day after tomorrow... Yuri knew one word... and she'll wait... even she grows old... she waits

Like how nature always plays it song. Yuri will be the wind around Jessica - the motion of the clouds and warmth of the sun...

The twinkling stars in the sky and the sparkling moon, deep blue oceans and lonely roads that stretches across the countryside.

She will be like them and be them, because she hears the whispers...

And she understands something that no one could...

The only thing

Jessica can live without love she always say that. But she just can't live without Yuri. She just couldn't.

Finally the words come out when Yuri's hair is white and Jessica wears thick glasses.

"I love you"
