Chan pov

"Woooaahhh! That's soo much! Thank you Daddy!" Lily looked amazed by the amount of presents standing on the kitchen table. I smiled and let her down.

"You want to open these?"
"Yess!"
"But first, you have to try one of the cookies Daddy did."
"You made cookies?!" She looked up to me and tried the cookie I gave her. Her eyes widened.

"They are soo good!" She said while eating the cookie, which made me laugh.
"I'm glad you like them." I patted her head and sat her up in her seat. I got us some water and sat down next to her.

"Okay, you know how we always do it?"
"Yep..two presents now and the others when we are back home." She showed me her big smile, which made me smile too.
"Good girl." I gently tapped her nose and waited for her to choose two of the presents.

After opening the presents and eating breakfast, we brushed our teeth's. I just combed my hair and made Lily two pigtails. She wanted to wear her favourite dress, so I took it out of her dresser and she put it on herself.

"You are so pretty. My birthday girl." She laughed and together we went into the living room, took our backpack and bag and went to put on our shoes.

While listening to the children's music that was played in the radio, I felt like I forgot something, but I just shook it off, because I often felt like that.

"Do you know the muffin man? The muffin man, the muffin man. Do you know-"
"Ah- Now I know. I forgot something, we need to drive back again. I'm sorry.." I looked at Lily with an apologised look, at which she just smiled.
"It's okay. That can happen." I smiled at her and drove back home. I quickly got the muffins and then really drove to the kindergarten.

"Lily!"
"Jake!"

I smiled at the two kids hugging each other and searched for a kindergarten teacher. I saw a boy, leaning over a table and standing with his back to me. I slowly walked over to him and cleared my throat.

"Excuse me?" The boy turned around and looked at me.
"Oh, good morning. Can I help you?"
"..Ah yeah, I just wanted to ask if there is a kindergarten teacher nearby?"
"I'm in charge of the group today, because the teachers of the group are sick at the moment."

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't knew that."
"No, it's okay. Do you want to talk about something specific?"
"Nothing specific. I just baked these muffins for the kids, cause it's my daughter's birthday today."
"That's very nice. I'll make sure, they'll eat them." He smiled and looked at me, which made me a bit nervous.

"Okay then..have a nice day."
"Just as." I bowed, which he replied.

I just wanted to leave, but suddenly I felt some weight on my leg. I looked down and saw Lily hugging my thigh. I squatted down.

"Have a beautiful day. Enjoy it princess." I kissed her cheek and stood up.

"Bye bye." The 5-year-old waved goodbye, which I did too.

"Don't forget that I will come earlier today." I winked at her and she held her thumbs up in respond.

Then I left for work.
