Jaime woke up the next morning feeling extremely exhausted. He was still reeling from his experience yesterday, feeling terrible. Although it seemed like a dream, he could feel the scarab on his spine, where it would stay permanently.
Jaime: Guess there is no getting rid of you, huh?
Scarab: No.
Jaime: Damn...
Getting out of bed Jaime immediately went to the bathroom to take a shower and brush his teeth. But the moment he took his shirt off he noticed a very big difference.
His body looked more toned and defined than it had ever in his entire life, even while trained in martial arts.

After his shower, Jaime Walked into the living room and was greeted by the sight of his mom making breakfast, his little sister Milagro watching TV, and Sero sitting with her. Noticing her brother, she ran up to him getting all in his personal space.
Milagro: Jaime, I heard you have a quirk! Is it true?!
Bianca: Niñita, get away from your bother. He just woke up he can tell us all about this quirk of his after breakfast.
Milagro: Fine...
After they ate, Jaime gathered them onto the couch, while preparing himself for the truth he could not fully believe himself.
Sero: So what's up with that thing on your back dude?
Jaime: Well I was about to get to that... and to be honest I'm not really sure what it is myself. But I do know now it's going to be stuck to me permanently.
Bianca: How do you know?
Jaime: It told me.
Sero: It can speak?!
Jaime: It's like a nagging second voice in my head. I'm not even sure what I'm going to do...
Sero: I have a fine idea myself!
Everyone turned to look at him.
Sero: You could become—
Jaime: No. No, not at all. You know I gave up on that a long time ago.
Sero: No you didn't.
Jaime: Huh?
Sero: After you figured out you were quirkless you decided to pursue a career that would let you help people, even if it wasn't on the battlefield. You may not have had the quirk of a hero, but you did have the heart of one. And now to have both.
