Jaime groggily opened his eyes, the morning sunlight filtering through the window and gently illuminating his room. He stretched his arms above his head, yawning and blinking away the remnants of sleep. After sitting still for 30 seconds he realized what day it was—his first day at U.A.
Swinging his legs over the side of the bed, Jaime sat up and rubbed his eyes, fully awakening his senses. He glanced at the clock on his bedside table, realizing he had overslept slightly. With a sense of urgency, he jumped to his feet, determined to make up for lost time. Jaime quickly made his way to his closet, sliding open the door to reveal an array of clothes. He pulled out his U.A. uniform, a distinctive grey blazer with green accents, along with a crisp white shirt and dark green jeans.
After swiftly dressing in his uniform, Jaime moved to the bathroom, where he splashed cold water on his face, refreshing himself and clearing away any residual sleepiness. He ran a comb through his hair, ensuring it was neatly styled, and ready for the day.
Leaving the bathroom he was hit by the aroma of breakfast filling the air, making his stomach growl with hunger. Jaime entered the kitchen, finding his mother already preparing a hearty meal. She looked up, a warm smile lighting up her face.
Bianca: Jaime! Estoy muy orgullosa de ti! Estás emocionado?
Jaime: Sí. Era sólo cuestión de tiempo.
His mother placed Chilaquiles Verdes in front of him, encouraging him to eat. Jaime wasted no time, savoring the delicious breakfast, the anticipation and nervousness blending together in his mind.
Milagro: Hermano. Bring me back a souvenir, will ya?
Jaime: Sure, I'll bring back some of U.A.'s dirt and splash it in your eyes.
Milagro: *eye role* Muy gracioso...
Finishing his meal, Jaime stood up from the table, gathering his belongings. He checked his bag, making sure he had all the necessary supplies, turning to his mother.
Jaime: Adiós, mami! Hasta luego!
Bianca: Que tenga un buen día!
Stepping out into the morning sunshine, Jaime took a deep breath as he felt a surge of excitement coursing through him.
Scarab: Are you ready?
Jaime: Not at all. Let's go!
Jaime began sprinting toward U.A. in a shamble, while still appearing a blur to any untrained eyes.
Once he arrived at the building, he slowed down to search for Class 1-A.
Jaime: Where is it, where- ah 1-A.
When he reached the door he noticed two familiar faces. One was the brunette girl who saved Midoriya's face from hitting the concrete, and the other was Midoriya himself blushing very hard as the girl punched the air. Jaime approached feeling a sense of relief that he had at least two people he could recognize in his class.
