Theo sat impishly at the bar in the food carriage. Watching people through the mirror on the back of the drinks cabinet. But his eyes were trained on the same man.

He looked too grim for his bright suit, which had a particular green tinge which had fascinated Theo since they were boarding this train to hell.

"Copper arsenite," Theo had nudged Cieanna, she just looked back at him-her brow raised, "they used to put it in paint to make a vibrant green colour. It looked great on walls, but it actually is poisonous so they had to stop putting it in after people started suing."

"They didn't stop when people started dying." Cieanna stated, it wasn't a question but Theo missed that indication. Instead he laughed lightly, like a child wise who believes themselves to be wise beyond anyone else's years.

"Every business man who has their hands in that game, also has blood crusted underneath their fingernails. Anyway, It must be in the suit somehow. There is no other way it could get so green, it's impossible."

"It's impossible for you to be more of a doofus," she said quietly, a playful ring in her voice.

As Theo carefully studied the man's every move, green eyes unwavering, Cieanna put her brain into more useful things.

Seated at the booth next to the man-her back behind him. She was contemplating the previous night's events.

To her it was an entirely possible idea that she was still sleeping. This was all some intricate moving puzzle that her brain concocted, she could just be asleep.

This was all a sick-sick nightmare that only her cursed mind could create.

She doesn't remember waking up after what happened. So either what happened was real, or this was a dream.

And it had to be a dream. Because none of that could've possibly been real.

None of it.

He hand fell back to where the silver revolver was hidden under her dress. She wouldn't be pulled into Theo's craziness. They just had a shared nightmare. Things like that happen to people who are as close as them.

And this wasn't the end of the dream yet. That's why Theo is being so-distant, so hyper focused on all these little things. Five hours and thirty-eight minutes meant nothing, nothing, to Cieanna. It's why he was like that. She is going to wake up and everything will be fine.

Theo was still stalking the man. He'd been sitting there for fifty-six minutes.

Gah, knowing exact time the man was sitting there-and flaunting it, nonetheless-him made him feel like Cieanna.

Another man came up and sat across from him. This man was dressed appropriately to match his grimness. They glared at each other for a moment before the man in the green suit spoke. Theo couldn't make out the words he was saying clearly over the noise of the train (so much for stalking him out) but Cieanna could.

"You're late." The man in the green suit stated.

"I had a fun time last night, slept in." the grim man sneered, Cieanna heard a bag flunk against the table.

"The weather is lovely." The man in the green suit said bleakly. "I knew that coldfront was a joke."

The grim man snorted.

"You are very wise."

Cieanna could not see this part, but Theo was able to bear witness to the exchange.

His eyes tracked through the mirror as the grim man subtly handed a silver revolver under the table to the man in the green suit.

Although he saw it with his own eyes, Theo didn't believe it for a moment.

It was the same revolver that Cieanna had tucked under her dress.
