Katsuki's POV:
Whenever we got back to the apartment, Aizawa thankfully wasn't there yet. I set down the bag of things we'd bought on the counter, and sat on the barstool. Todoroki followed me into the kitchen, leaning on the other side of the counter as he opened the bag.
"Okay so I got vodka for me, since it's stronger, and beer for you because you're a lightweight."
"Am not."
He rolled his eyes.
"Sure."
Rustling through the bag more, he checked to make sure everything else was there.
"We got a regular deck of cards and a shit ton of snacks. We should be good."
I glanced into the bag and saw something else at the bottom, small but brightly colored. Instead of asking him what it was, I simply reached into the bag and took it out.
As soon as I saw it, I sighed.
"Really? I can't smoke, but vaping is fine?"
"That's for me, not you." He said, grabbing it out of my hands and shoving it in his pocket. "The difference is, my lungs are healthy. Yours aren't. That's why you can't smoke. For you it's a matter of life or death. Otherwise, I wouldn't care."
"Well your lungs won't be healthy for long. Vaping is worse than smoking."
He shrugged.
"Maybe, but it's healthier than a lot of the other coping mechanisms I used to have."
"Can't argue with that."
We grabbed the bag of stuff and walked back to the bedroom, just in case Aizawa did come back. Worse case scenario, we got caught. But I had a feeling Aizawa wouldn't come down too hard on us. At least we're having fun right? That's mentally helpful for both of us, even if we are being stupid teenagers.
We sat on the floor at the side of the bed, placing the bag in between us. He took out the cards first, but I went straight for the alcohol.
Man I've really needed to be numb lately
"Shouldn't we have dinner first? I don't wanna drink on an empty stomach." He said, causing me to pause.
I shrugged.
"I'm not that hungry, but we can still make something if you want."
"I think we should. I'll be fine, but it'll hit you way too hard if you haven't eaten."
So he really just wants me to eat
Of course he does
He's had his eye on me
He doesn't know
Or at least I don't think he does
But he knows that I'm not super healthy right now
And that's enough to make him fixate on it
Shoving the alcohol under the bed, we stood up and left the room. Walking to the kitchen, I could feel that I'd stood up too quickly. I was dizzy and unsteady, but thankfully Todoroki was in front of me so he didn't notice.
I walked to the cabinet and took out two containers of ramen.
"Is ramen okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, of course. I can make it though, if you want."
"It's okay, I've got it." I said, tearing open both packages and putting them into a pot. I filled it with water and placed it on the stove, clicking it on with a sigh.
