8 - Sink

Todoroki's POV:

I woke up and rolled over, seeing that Katsuki was already out of bed. Curious, I took out my phone and checked the time.

It's already 3 in the afternoon

It's embarrassing I've slept this long

I didn't even stay up that late...

I woke up and rolled over a few times

But that was it

What's wrong with me?

Why am I so tired lately?

With these nightmares, I don't feel like I sleep at all

I sat up and felt strangely unsettled. It was oddly quiet in the apartment. I didn't hear the TV or any noise in the kitchen--not even footsteps. Glancing to my side, I saw a small note.

Don't worry, I'll be back. Headed out to run errands with Aizawa. He says it'll be good for me to get out and walk around for a bit. I'll be home as soon as I can, I hope you're okay. Love you <3

I froze for a moment, unsure of what to do. I tried to focus on my breathing and not overthink this.

Don't stress about it

He's just out

He's with Aizawa too so he's safe

But I didn't know Aizawa even came home

He could be lying

What if he's out training?

Or worse?

Last time he left suddenly and didn't say anything he...

I let out a shaky breath and stood up, pacing around the room.

I looked around and realized the room was somewhat messier than before--as if he'd been in here looking for something. It seemed like he'd gotten dressed in a hurry, then looked around for something--probably cigarettes--and ran out. Would he be in such a rush for simple errands? Why would he smoke with Aizawa around?

None of it adds up

Or maybe I'm just overanalyzing things

But this is Katsuki

He doesn't really leave messes everywhere without at least trying to pick them up

He's not the type

He's been really concerned about me lately too

Would he really leave without waking me up to say goodbye?

He wouldn't

Unless he didn't want me to know where he was going

That's the only explanation

He'd rather lie than have me panic

But it's a bit counterproductive isn't it?

I sighed shakily and grabbed my phone off the nightstand, walking down the hall to the kitchen. Scrolling through my contacts, I leaned on the counter as I found Katsuki's name.
