Blackmailing you is something Taeyeon would never do but now. Those cat-like eyes she gave before leaving never left your mind, she became so different. The aggressive behaviors by the duo at you is expected, but you weren't ready for it.
"I saw that woman awhile ago at the corridor, what's up with you and her?" Your assistant asked as you sat on the seat. "You good, sir?"
You wandered your hand around the gear stick and sighed loudly, Young-ho's expression became more worrried. "Is there something you're not yet telling me about who Jessica is?"
The silence consumed you both as he kept his eyes at you. You tilt your head at him expecting for a good answer from him after that short silence.
"Don't lie, you know it would be better if you tell me already. She would never ask for that woman to come tomorrow, she was mad and you can't tell me Jessica never met her."
Your assistant clicked his tongue. "She used to be a Korean girl member, Sonyeoshidae."
"It's them, so why didn't she tell me at the first place, why didn't you?"
He sighed and turned to look in front. "She had her reasons, it's better if you'd ask her about it. "
You sighed loudly and rested your head at the seat. There's no way you'd be with a Girl Generation member again, especially it's their friend, a lost one. You broke two members heart and it was enough, but another one? It's too much and there's no way you could do such mess again.
Furthermore, silence still filled you both throughout the ride. The skies were dark and the whole city was covered by different colors once again. Your phone rang and as expected, it's Jessica. There were several seconds of hesitation to answer it, but in the end you accepted it.
"If you'll ask me where I'm, I'm . . . "
"Y/n, can you meet me back at the condo again?" she interrupted, you were confused by the sudden rush in her tone. You paused for a second to think if she's being possessive once again.
"Why? I'm with my assistant, you can call him if you don't trust me or whatever it is." You answered, looking at Young-ho back
"No . . . I mean, I just . . I have a surprise. . . I want to show you something" she stuttered.
"Surprise? Damn, surprise of you to do such things rather than scolding me all the way around."
"Yeah, I just really missed you, I'm sorry for awhile ago. So I really need you here with me." she immediately hung up. There's no reason for her to end that call too soon, something felt wrong as your heart raced. Young-ho's eyes defined the surprise he feel, he knew her boss better than you do. You pressed your foot harder at the pedal, accelerating the car even faster.
You noticed a black Toyota sedan parked under the cover of the tree as you drove slowly. There's no reason for that sedan to park, unless it's waiting for someone, but why under the dark? The windows were tinted as you slowly drove pass it, enough to make it suspicious for you.
As you pressed the brakes, stopping at the entrance, you looked at your assistant. "See that black car behind us under the tree, call me if it acts suspiciously. I'll head to Jess's"
He nodded in response, and you normally went at the entrance door, ignoring the presence of the black sedan. The sudden heavy feeling struck you as you made your way from the silent lounge down to the elevator, the sense of rush was consuming you. As the elevator doors opened, you paced you way towards the corridor, only to find a guy in a black mask and jacket in front of your room's door, not Jess's but yours.
