The shimmer in his eyes.. it shifted when you were around.. his whole body language changed... all he wanted was you... to protect you..
When anyone was around you it saddened him "what if they like them... they're stronger than me anyways.. what if im a burden.. Look at how they look at Kacchan..." Midoriya always looked up to the angry blonde despite being seen as inferior to him... Izuku.. began to distance himself.. taking up space in his own head.. he didn't know why these feelings were affecting his day to day life so much...
For him? Sadness. Sadness took over his time spent without you. And when he was with you he felt like a liar.. he was keeping something from you.. the overthinking began to punish him.

It was wrong.. he knew it was wrong. Whenever Katsuki looks up to someone or see's them as equal it's in his instincts to push them so far down they can't recover.
He began getting more aggressive with you.. it hurt... he was scared of these feelings.. but every time he almost made you cry... he wanted to hold you close and give you gentle kisses until all the pain he had caused you went away.. it wasn't until he finally decided to try talking to someone, anyone. That he wanted to be.. better, for you.. Katsuki wanted to be.. number 1 even, no. Especially, to you.
For him? Anger. It was to be expected from the explosive boy but it just made him angrier at himself... a vicious cycle... but damn... he wanted you to be happy.. it hurt him to hurt you.
