You and Wally have been together for a few months, and everything was great, you'd both treat each other with respect, love, passion and had your silly, funny moments. There was only one thing you'd wish he'd calm himself down on. Wally was protective... overly- protective.
Whenever you'd speak to the neighbours and he was there with you, he'd always link your arms together and slightly cover your body with his own, almost to show you were definitely his. He was constantly jealous when you would hang out with the other neighbours when he worked. But at the same time, he is able to balance it with ensuring you were safe, making sure you were comfortable, giving you space and protecting you from any romantic competition.
Today was a day, where he was overprotective.
"Wally?" You called as you walked into the kitchen, "Yes my dear?" Wally replied, boy was currently stacking paints and art supplies into a bag, "Do you have work today?" I walked up to him and kissed him on the cheek, "Yeah, gotta finish this painting before I forget. Why? Is there something you wanted to do today?" Wally asked, "No, just wondering if you were free, that's all. I'll hang out with the other neighbours okay?" You rubbed his hand and turned your back to go towards the front door, Wally looked at you at his painting and then back at you. He rushed forward and held your hand, you looked down and then up at his half-lidded eyes. "I-I'll join. You're more important than some silly painting... it can wait..." Wally then hugged your arm, you chuckled and you both left.
You and Wally went to Howdy's shop and went into the fruit aisle, you were planning on hanging out with Eddie and Frank alongside Julie and were going to have a picnic. You picked up a bag of apples and placed them in the basket you were holding, you were about to pick up some watermelon slices when at the corner of your eye you spotted something, you turned and saw Wally trying to take an unwrapped apple, "Wally." You said sternly, he took his hand away and hid it behind his back, giving you the most innocent puppy dog eyes, "Come here." You waved, he went to you and you locked arms with him so you could keep an eye on him. You dragged him around the shop and finally paid for your food.

You were finally at the picnic, Julie, Frank and Eddie were already there, "hey guys, I bought Wally with me." You smiled down at them and put the basket full of food and snacks in the middle of the blanket before sitting down, Wally sat close to you but you didn't mind.
After lots of chatting, gossiping and enjoying each other's time Julie had playfully punched you in the arm, you reacted with a smile and did it back to her. Wally glared at her, he moved closer to you and wrapped his arm around you, you glanced at him and saw his expression, you rolled his eyes and kissed his cheek. This caught him off guard and he looked at you with blush and shock. You laughed and shook your head.
