Learning to Love

(Warning: violence, blood)

This place seems somewhere out of the world; it looks like an abandoned factory; dark, stinky and filled with soil everywhere. Taehyung was sitting in a corner. He has no power left to protest against anything. The men who guard this place are respectful enough and have never tried to forcefully touch him. He was just staying there and nothing else. It is like an endless loop of waiting and he does not know what to expect. When he was brought here, he expected something worse. But thankfully it did not happen. 

He was almost falling asleep, when one of the guards came to him and forcefully made him stand, “Baby, it’s time to go.” The phrase almost dried Taehyung’s blood because he was not sure what was going to happen to him. But one thing he was sure that this time Jungkook was not coming to save him. He decided to boldly face the situation that was in front of him. He will never let these criminals feel happy. He knows he has not done anything wrong and therefore he will never let go of his morals and strengths in front of these people.

He was dragged to a room and when the door opened, his heart almost lipped out of his chest. It was Jungkook tied to a chair. He was blindfolded and his head was tilted at the side. Mr. Jeon was sitting at the back and Jihuyn was standing beside Jungkook holding a gun. Taehyung could  not hide his surprise; all the time, he had thought Jihyun loved Jungkook as his elder brother. Both of them trusted him and he is the one behind all this. His surprised face did not go unnoticed by Jihyun, “What’s so surprising dear? Your husband tied to the chair or seeing me?” A monstrous laughter left his lips when he said, “You trusted the wrong person.” 

“But you said you love us.” Taehyung said in a broken voice. Jungkook is still unconscious and it’s hard for Taehyung to see him in this state. 

“You know Taehyung, what your husband did to my sister. The sister who took care of me like my mother? I lost her and your husband was driving the car. He was the killer. He should have died that day. I was devastated but decided to forgive him when I saw he was regretting. But you know what? He moved on with you. I saw him smiling, after removing every last trace of happiness from my life. I wanted to end him, you were never my target. But before that I wanted to make him so measurable that he would beg me for death. You were just a part of it. Now, I am happy seeing him like this.”

Mr. Jeon was silently sitting at the back until now but now he decided to talk. “You know Taehyung, what happens when two powerful people join hands? They do miracles. You will see today the mighty Jeon Jungkook at my feet, powerless, and hopeless. I am feared by others and that's not for no reason.”

Tae was still being held by the two men but he tried to push them so that he could go near Jungkook but failed. He is angry with him but how can he sit silent when they are going to take his life. “But, he is your son Mr. Jeon. How can you do this to your own son?” Tae’s word made Mr. Jeon choked on his laughter, “He was my son, but not from the day he saved you and jailed me. I wanted to kill you for that but then that would be a wastage of your stunning beauty. Now that I don’t have my wife, I would love to have a pretty boy calling me daddy and showing me what he has got. See, I am almost drooling at the thought.”

Tae stared away in disgust. 

“Anyways, let’s wake up Jungkook.” On Mr. Jeon's command a man woke Jungkook up with a splash of water. It took a while for Jungkook to realise what was happening, especially after he lost his consciousness. They tied him up and put in a big container to bring him here and due to lack of oxygen he lost his senses. The moment he understood that Tae was in front of him his face paled. He tried to look in the almond eyes of his Daegu boy to see his emotions. Once they used to reflect so much affection but now, they are blank. His heart broke in a thousand pieces. 

“So Taehyung. Before coming here, I gave my boy a choice. He is a wise man and made a good choice. He decided to give his life to save yours. He has already handed over all his property to me and now thanks to him, I can live happily with my Daegu Prince.” Jungkook kept his head down all along but the last sentence of Mr. Jeon not just startled him, he felt a shock on his whole body. 

“NOOO. You can’t do that. You said you will spare his life. You said you will let him live.” Mr. Jeon laughed at his words, “Son, I am sparing his life. Living with me means getting every luxury on earth. But I come with the package. I promise I will be gentle with him. I don’t want to break my toy that easily. Jungkook growled at his father’s words, “He is not a toy. He is a human, like us. Give him respect.” 

Taehyung could not decipher what was happening. Jungkook…kill …nothing was making sense to him. The moment it did he yelled, “Mr. Jeon. Let Jungkook go. You want me, I will give you whatever you want. Just let him go. He saved my life and let me do him this favour. Please Mr. Jeon.” 

“Now that’s like a good boy. You will let me make love to you? I am too excited to be inside you. Okay, sign my slave contract and I will release Jungkook.” Mr. Jeon said in a soft, satisfied voice.

“No, Taehyung, no, never. Don’t sign anything. He will make your life hell.

Why do you care? Didn't you say you hate me?

No, I love you Taehyung. Trust me, I love you more than anything in this world.

A sad smile came on Tae’s face, “Huh? Trust? Don’t bring the word on your lips.”

Tae never wanted to lose his dignity but now losing his dignity can save the life of his love and he does not care what else would happen to him. He is determined to save Jungkook.

“If you sign this Kim Taehyung, I promise, I will kill myself in front of your eyes. You want to save me by ruining your life? I will never let you do it!” 

Suddenly gun shots could be heard from outside; this place is Mr. Jeon’s den and a high security zone. Nobody could ever find this place until now. If the police are here he will get arrested again but before he could get back to prison he will kill Taehyung in front of Jungkook and then take his life too.

Jihyun was also baffled at the situation but he was more focused on finishing what he started: his revenge. “Taehyung, I never wanted to harm you, but trust me, I want to give a taste of my pain to Jungkook. Before dying, he should know how it feels to not have your loved ones beside you.” Tae closed his eyes, ready to get stabbed but he did not feel anything other than a familiar warmth. He opened his eyes to see Jungkook hugging him to his chest. He felt protected until he noticed a blood stain on Jungkook’s stomach and a sad smile on his face. 

“Jungkook.. Jungkook. Why did you do it?” He tried to shake Jungkook who was almost losing senses. The big door was already broken and Police came in. Tae was trying to call for help, and then he saw Mr. Jeon aiming his gun towards Jungkook. He knew he had to save Jungkook and he stood in the path of the gun, hugging almost-unconscious Jungkook. A gunshot silenced the whole room and in minutes, Mr. Jeon was seen lying lifeless on the ground. Police officers shot him down without a second thought.

Tae’s eyes were droopy; it was difficult for him to breathe. He was still having Jungkook on his lap. He felt too tired to sit and decided to lie beside Jungkook. He gave a kiss on his love’s forehead and closed his eyes.

When Jungkook’s eyes opened he saw unfamiliar white walls. His body started shivering in anxiety and fear. He could barely lift his hands and he saw IVs attached to it and a big bandage on his stomach. The things that happened before he lost his consciousness came to his mind. He jolted up on his hospital bed, “Where is Taehyung?” Seeing him awake Suga came near him. His eyes were dripping with anger, and hatred, “Looking for Taehyung? He is no more. You are the one responsible for his death. YOU KILLED HIM.”

Author's note: As promised double update. Both chapters are long and I could not finish both by yesterday so it took another day for the double update. Sorry for that.
