Tae returned home humming his favourite tune with the new-found joy bundled up in his heart. The sensation of budding love has a healing power, it cures almost every wound a heart holds. Their house is exceptionally cold and silent today. He could not find the joy that has engulfed him since he was a child. He went inside his room and gradually a feeling of guilt took over him. How can he be so selfish and think about liking someone when his family is in such a bad position, Tae thought. He needed to act fast and his eyes started roaming around his room to find at least a single hint that could save his family. His eyes landed on the canvases that he had kept carefully. He never intended to sell his paintings; they were the fond memories that filled him with happiness. For him his family comes first and he will never hesitate to exchange his happiness for the wellbeing of his family. But at this hour, he really cannot do anything. He rested his head on the pillow, and before he could even understand his aching heart melted in teardrops, wetting his pillows.

Tae decided not to disclose his decision to his parents. They know how much he loves his art and treasure them and they might never agree to sell them. Therefore he woke up early and packed the paintings he thought would bring him money. He put them on the back of his car and silently came inside. He started preparing breakfast like every other day. Soon his mother came to join him and his calm demeanour never let her guess the turmoil Tae was experiencing all by himself.

Tae did not have much time and he had to return home by evening otherwise he might get questioned about it. He rushed his car towards the town and soon reached the art gallery. The art gallery is run by an heir of the Kim family, one of their distant relatives. Kim Namjoon is an art connoisseur and loves to collect art. His galley is known to the elite society. He is not just a person who collects art pieces but also sells them. He saw the incredible talent of Tae and often showed interest in buying his works. Taehyung had always refused until now. But today he is willing, in fact desperate to sell them.

"Hyung, do you think any of this will bring any money?" Tae asked Namjoon who is presently checking the gorgeous art pieces Tae kept in front of him.

"What are you talking about? They will be sold in no time. By the way, I am not selling all of them. I would love to keep some for myself." Namjoon answered with a dimpled smile.

-"But hyung I need money and that too urgently. I cannot wait for long." Tae sounded desperate.

"Ooh. So you are selling your paintings not because you want, but because you need money? How much do you need? I will give you and you can keep your paintings."

" No hyung. I want to sell them. I can do anything for my parents and this is the least I can do. I want to be a responsible son and do it for my father who has given me everything. Every liberty I wanted, every happiness I needed, the love I craved. I cannot return it, but I can try. "

Namjoon teared up and decided to help Tae without making him realise it. He immediately called his manager to evaluate the paintings so that he could give Tae money.

"Sir, it's nothing less than 5 million." Tate's eyes lit up as Namjoon's manager estimated the value. Namjoon soon signed him the cheque and Tae took off to his house. The mixed feeling he got took him to his favourite place - the pond.

Tae sat on the grass while staring at nothing. Tears kept rolling down from his eyes and he could not understand what he was exactly feeling, a sense of satisfaction or emptiness.

"Hello Taehyung. Good evening. Did not expect  to see you here at this hour." Jimin chirped from behind. He saw Tae coming inside from the window of his room and saw the lingering sorrow on his face. He could not stand it and came down to talk to him.

"N-nothing. It's just, I have so much in my mind." Tae could not find any excuse that he could tell Him in without disclosing his present condition.

"I know we aren't friends yet, but you can tell me what's bugging you. We all have bad days. Everything goes if you give them some time." Tae did not know what to do but he hugged Jimin to seek the comfort he needed now. Jimin hugged him back while patting his back. Tae felt a sudden warmth, the cold feeling that was burdening his mind like a stone from yesterday, it melted away.

All he could feel was warmth, the warmth of a  hug…
