𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 like every other in the little town, called Woodsboro. The sun was shining and the weather was perfect for the upcoming summer. A couple of birds where chirping in the tree and the wind was rushing through the leaves.

It was peacefully quiet inside the house, when Lizzie stood in her bathroom, which she shared with her brother, brushing her teeth while she tried desperately to keep her eyes open. The girl hadn't slept much last night, so she was feeling slightly exhausted.

Her hair was standing in every direction before she quickly grabbed her brush from the sink. She was running late and her make-up wasn't even done, but she was indeed already dressed.

Thinking about the upcoming school day, she quickly packed her school books into her backpack and threw it over her shoulder.

The girl then made her way downstairs into the kitchen, where Wes was already sitting by the table, having breakfast.

In the corner of her eye she saw her mother, already dressed in her Sheriff uniform.

"Morning!" Wes handed her the cereal box and Lizzie took it from his hand while he mumbled a sleepy, "Morning."

Her mother walked past her, quickly planting a kiss onto the top of her head, "Morning, sweetheart."

The blond sat down on a chair besides her brother and their mother sat down on their opposite, a worried expression on her face.

"Mom, is everything okay?", Lizzie questioned Judie Hicks with a concerned look on her face.

Their mother seemed to consider her choice of words carefully before she finally spoke, "There was a report of an attack that morning- someone in a Ghostface costume committed an attempted murder-"

The two siblings exchanged a shocked look before their mother continued, "-on Tara."

The two teenagers gave her a very confused look, not getting why someone would attack Tara, "What Tara?"
