It was 10:53 PM in Rosemeadow, and Jake's friends haven't talked to him in days. Poor Jake has been exhausted these past few days from lack of sleep, and has practically given up on having a good life with the music club or Drew and the others with how they've been treating him. Jake was just about to sleep to wake up for school the next day, but it appears the universe and his ancestors blood within him have different plans for Jake Sterling.

{Jake's POV}
"I hate my life." I collapsed onto my bed and quickly switch my position from laying on my stomach to lying on my side and scrolling on my phone. I was scrolling through the photos I had when I came upon two picture. One picture had the music club and me at Hailey and Zander's house and the second picture had Drew and my friends on Halloween of last year, in costume.

I started to cry until the crying turned into me bawling my eyes out. I finally cried myself  into a deep sleep after I cried for around a half hour. I also kind of wished I hadn't fallen asleep, but that's because I haven't had a good night sleep since I've been kicked out of the music club. However, tonight was different.

Instead of being stuck in a fog of purple and black, it was like... magically colorful. Almost like something you'd see in those fantasy movies that make it feel like you're just in a dream. Also, the music club wasn't here this time, and neither was Drew and the others. I honestly thought I had died before I heard something or someone say something.

"So,... you're here now." I whirled around trying to find where the feminine voice that said that came from, but I couldn't find anything.

"Hello?!" I yelled trying to find whoever said that.

"There's no reason to shout my child." I saw the mysterious figure appear while she said that.

"Wh-who are you?" I said while not moving from my place.

"My name is Amethyst." Said the woman in front of me.

"That's a unique name, I like it." I said while smiling up at her. She smiled too.

Her face and arms showed that half of her looked human, but the other half looked like she was corrupted like in those movies that involve demons, or like Catra from She-ra and the princesses of power aft the portal was opened up.

"Thank you my child." She said still smiling and lookin down at me, she seemed taller than me naturally, but she's also floating so she's pretty far above me.

"So, why am I here?" I asked looking at her, without smiling this time.

She was still smiling, but it was a lot nicer. "Go to the main forest in Rosemeadow, look for the rose statue, and call for Master Felix." She said while starting to fade away, pretty fast too. "You'll understand soon, my child."

She completely faded away from the world in front of me. I was left alone puzzled and confused. I woke up after I started liking around the world. I looked at my phone so I could check what time it is. "How is it already 5:48 AM?" I mean, I felt energized, but I don't know if I should go to the forest like Amethyst told me to.

After a couple of minutes of thinking, I decided that I was going to go there. I saw the statue before when I was little, but my grandparents told me to never go near it. I guess I'm breaking the rules right now.

I got up from my bed and got into my usual clothes and I packed an extra bag. The bag contained my phone, my phone charger, my headphones, a couple of snacks I kept in my room for when I'm feeling snackish, a bottle of water, and I also put all of my school work/supplies in case if I end up just having to go to school. I then went downstairs to eat breakfast, but I wasn't that hungry so I just ate a granola bar with a cup of coffee. It was now 6:12 AM, I was about to leave before I heard my moms voice behind me.

"Jake, where are you going this early in the morning?" She asked me while looking tired as usual.

"Uh, I'm just going on a walk before school." I know I wasn't really lying, but I wasn't exactly telling the truth either.

"Alright, just stay safe hun." She said while going back upstairs to probably get more sleep.

"I will." I said loud enough for her to hear, but quiet enough for no one else to wake up.

"Love you." She said while turning around to look at me.

"Love you too mom." I said smiling more.

I walked out of the front door and walked all the way to the other side of town to the forest. No one had ever gone there before because most people wanted to respect it's history as the original area of the rose statue or were to afraid to go in there in the first place. "I guess I'm breaking the rules more." I walked in to the forest by following the path that actually brought you to the rose statue, but it was really far in the forest. I noticed that the forest actually looked really dark and eerie, but I oddly didn't care. I just kept walking and walking, but when I saw the large rose statue, and I didn't notice that I started walking faster when I saw it.

I walked up to the rose statue, which was covered with dirt, plants, and other things. I brushed away some of the dirt and I thought about what Amethyst had said what I should do. Especially since when I touched the statue, I felt... different on the inside. 'Call for Master Felix.'

I took a deep breath before doing what Amethyst said. "Master Felix."

I then saw a part of the base of the statue turn into a door. I was shocked, but I opened it and crawled through to see what it was. As soon as I made it to the other side, which looked so magical and beautiful, I heard a loud bang and realized that the door had shut itself closed. I tried to open it back up, but it wasn't working. I was stuck here. "Where even am I?"

I was honestly terrified. I started running forward, but I had to stop or I was gonna fall from what looked like 100 feat up off the ground. I crouched down and sat on the edge of the cliff while looking down. "Where the hell am I?" I just sat there, I was way too confused about what was happening. I didn't even notice someone walking up behind me.

"Hello, you must be the new student that Amethyst was telling us about."
