{Master Felix's POV}
I have been alive for so long... it hurts seeing everyone I have known through out this long lifeline disappear or die from everything going on. I still remember my best friends... the love of my life... and I promised them to not fall in love ever again. I still haven't. It's been so long, but I hold onto my promises. I'm just waiting for my day to come where I die and most people I know have no intention on visiting me at all. I stopped writing my work in my journal and looked at the picture of... her...

"I'm sorry Amethyst. I know you were the commander of the army back then, but I wish I could've protected you." I felt a tear in my eye and I wiped it away before taking a drink of moon water. I had to keep strong for the school and the magic imbalance of the world after the war Amethyst died in. "I get to take care of someone in her bloodline again, and I promise that I'll protect him this time."

I stood up and closed my book. There was a song me and Amethyst came up with when we were kids, and we kept expanding on it as we grew up. We had titled it 'Just Look my Way'. I began to sing it after closing my book.

"It is expected... an oath by blood to hold the tome..."

{Master Felix's POV}
I had finished the song with tears falling from a my eyes before wiping them away with my hands and sleeves. I had always sung that song when I felt alone, sad, lost, tired, all sorts of different occasions. I had tried to catch my breath before I randomly felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see Jake, and he seemed both impressed and confused. "Hello Jake."

"You sounded great, Master Felix." He said while smiling and looking me in the eyes.

I smiled and held his hand. "Thank you, Amethyst and I came up with that song over a thousand years ago, I still remember singing that song to her on her death bed." I said now wiping my eyes to rid them from tears while remembering the gruesome death that Amethyst didn't deserve.

"I'm glad that it stuck with you and that you still sing it." Jake said while readjusting his bag over his shoulder. "I think she'd be very grateful about that and I think she died happily knowing it was the song you both made together."

"I'd hope so, I miss her too much for her not to be happy about it." I said while no longer having tears in my eyes and holding Jake's hand before letting it go.

He smiled at me too. "I'd be willing to bet my life that she would be happy about it."

"Don't do that." I said while laughing a bit. Amethyst wouldn't feel right about him saying stuff like that, figure of speech or not. "Did you come here for something though?"

He seemed to think for a second before remembering what he was going to say. "I actually had a question for you." He said while pulling out his phone and silencing it while no longer smiling, but seemingly annoyed.

"Go ahead, you can ask." I said while smiling at him being slightly annoyed about his phone.

He pulled out one of his books for the school before asking. "It this book it mentions a certain kind of magic, but I can't find anything else about it anywhere else and I looked all over the library."

I was sort of confused because we tried to teach the students about everything, and no one else has come to me about this. "Could you expand on that?" I said while raising an eyebrow, obviously confused.
