Somehow Vhagar knew it before you or Aemond.

Aemond did notice the behaviour of his dragon changing. Aemond was convinced she was ill. She refused to fly.

No matter how hard the prince tried, Vhagar didn't budge.

It took a while for Aemond and you to figure out what was going on.

Then one day, you were out on the field and Aemond noticed something. You sat under the sun as you liked to get your skin warm and Vhagar kept moving to block the sun from you. You only laughed at the dragon and moved but so did she.

This is when Aemond noticed that his dragon was protecting you. From what, the prince didn't know.

"Darling?" called out the prince and you looked up. "Come here." he watched as you stood up and went over to him, Aemond carefully watching his dragon as she slowly followed you. "Looks like as if she's protecting you." he said as you arrived into his arms. You turned and looked back at Vhagar.

"She has great senses then." Aemond looked at you, confused, as you just smiled at him. "I'm with child, My Prince. I think she knows."

"Child?" Aemond had so much more on his mind. So much more to say but that was the only word that he managed.

"Yes. You are going to be a father, My Prince. Are you happy?" Happiness couldn't even describe how Aemond felt in that moment.

As if the spring and the summer met, he felt excited, nervous, thrilled, scared and proud all at the same time.

You didn't need an answer, you could see it in his eye as it shined, he was very happy.

"How long have you known?" he asked as his arms around you tightened.

"The nurse told me yesterday."

"Why didn't you tell me sooner then?"

"Patience is virtue, My Love. I'm just happy your dragon is not ill." Oh, you and your gentle soul.

Aemond leaned down and pulled in for a kiss.

A child was something he didn't expect to have, but again, he never expected to have a wife either.
