"We should at least figure out what happened to him before we tell Tubbo" Techno reasons.
"What difference would it make?"
"I just don't think it's the best idea to send a message saying: Hey Tubbo, so your best friend in the entire world has been badly wounded, and now he can't speak or walk across a room without falling, do you know what might have happened?" he explains mockingly.
"That's a good point, but Tommy can't exactly tell us why he's hurt."
"Sure he can, we'll just give him a quill and some paper" Techno explains
"Sounds good, let's do that after breakfast," he says and goes to cook some eggs
The kid limps up to Techno.
"Theseus, you better have a really good reason for being out of bed," he says, and Tommy starts to panic, "Oh crap, I- that wasn't- I didn't mean to scare you, but you need rest, it doesn't even make sense that you're alive so don't push your luck."
While the blade talks, Tommy starts to regret getting up because it's only adding to the pain.
"See what I mean?" he says when he sees that Tom is getting worse, "it's just not saf-" He stumbles forward to try and grab onto him so he doesn't fall, "Woah, okay, how about we go sit down, yeah?" he picks him up and moves him to the couch.
Phil gets them food and encourages Tommy to eat, then brings up his conversation with Techno.
"We were thinking that maybe you could write down what happened to you"
He hesitates, then nods slowly.
"That's great, I'll go get a book and quill"
Tommy tries to prepare himself for what he has to tell Phil, but he knows neither of them will ever be ready.
Tommy takes a deep breath when he is handed the quill. He isn't sure how to start writing so he draws something instead. The whole drawing is very scribbly and takes him about 40 minutes due to his spastic issues from all the nerve damage, and he's sobbing by the end of it.

"Tommy I'm sorry but I don't understand what this is supposed to mean" Phil admits
"Let me see it... Oh.. oh gods, if I'm understanding this right then- then that is beyond cruel"
"What do you mean?" Phil begs
"I think that's Dream and the revive book" Is all the explanation Phil needed.
Tommy nods, wiping some tears.
Phil nearly faints, instead collapsing onto the couch, "I feel sick"
"Tommy how many times did this happen?" the blade asks, handing him back the book.
He takes a few long minutes to write down his answer:

When he's done writing, the quill snaps from his clutch, covering his hand in ink and shards.
Phil cleans him up, then hugs him. Tommy doesn't really understand why he's crying too, but he pats him on the head to try and cheer him up.
He doesn't want to, but Tommy remembers yelling for his dad while being torn apart by Dream, he can almost hear his voice getting more hoarse each time, no, he can hear it, In fact, he's there now, in Logstedshire.
He can see and feel Dream killing him.
"You deserve this Tommy"
"Tommy"
"Tommy!"
"TOMMY!"
He looks around to see he's back in the cabin, with his father and brother, who have been taking care of him, and lets out a sigh of relief.
"Holy shit Theseus, you really know how to give Phil a heart attack, you were shaking so much what happened?"
Tommy ignores Techno and grabs the book and another quill to write something.
He shows Phil the word "sorry" and pats his head
"Awh mate, it's not your fault, Techno was exaggerating anyways" he assures
"By the way Tommy, do you want to see your friend Tubbo? If you remember him that is?" The blade asks.
He nods repeatedly.
"Alright, I'll send him a crow"
While Phil and Techno talk about Tubbo visiting, Tommy looks at his drawing of him and Dream.
He isn't really sure how many times he died, but he could only see one streak of blonde in his hair, which is almost as long as Techno's by now, so he guessed at least 80 times. It kept getting more and more difficult to think about it, it was all such a fever dream.
He wondered how the guy even had all that stuff, the potions, weapons, armour, tnt, he had only just gotten out of prison.
That stupid prison, where he was revived the first time.
It's getting really warm.
He smells ash and sees lava billowing down like a curtain.
He sees a kid, no, himself being beaten to death. He has fully blonde hair, so it must have been a long time ago.
The Tommy in the flashback is screaming the name Sam into the lava, although the lava doesn't seem to be named Sam, because it isn't helping.
He feels a final hit to the back of his head and dies, or passes out? He isn't sure.
He hears Dream reciting an incantation and feels himself alive again, and back at the cabin.
"Hey mate, I'm glad you're back to reality, you zoned out for quite a while"
Tommy looks around, it's much darker outside, and Techno isn't there anymore.
"Hey, why are you crying, what's wrong?"
Tommy touches below his eye, realizing that there are in fact tears running down his face.
He shrugs, worrying Phil, then continues to cry.
"Shh, you're gonna be alright"
Eventually, he calms Tommy down.
He sighs, "Alright then, you should probably get to sleep, Tubbo will be here tomorrow evening.
"Also, I don't want you climbing the ladders, so go to Techno's cabin if you need anything, he usually falls asleep on his chair reading books, so you shouldn't have to climb to find him"
After a minute to process what he was told he nods, while Phil is giving him a pillow and some blankets, then lays down.
