The Rest of The Day Went (⚠️)

    As soon as Jin stepped out of the lift, his breathing had returned to normal. He was starting to feel a little more relaxed, confident that Mingyu would not gossip around if he treasured his job as Taehyung's PA.

    Since I will have to sneak in visits at the executive floor, he will be an important ally to me.

    Jin still had ten minutes left, just enough time to dash into the washroom and tidy himself up. He obviously looked a little disheveled --- lips swollen and his eyes were a little too bright for someone who was supposed to have just been brought up to the security suite before grabbing out for lunch.

    When he entered the washroom, he found Kai and Ken inside.

    Fuck.

    Kai's face betrayed a flash of guilt.

    I knew it. They were talking about me just before I came in.

    Jin tried to smile at them.

    "Where did you guys went for lunch?" he asked.

    "Oh! We found a cute restaurant just around the corner! Thankfully, I have a great navigation," Kai told him. "Too bad you couldn't join us."

    Jin just smiled, nodding his head, hoping he at least looked like he cared even if he really wasn't. He tidied up his hair and reapplied the cherry lipgloss on his lips, fixing his clothes right before they headed back to the training room.

    "So, what was the deal with your ID, Jin?" Ken asked as they were re-entering the room.

    Jin shrugged and held his hands up in an 'I don't have a clue' gesture. He tried to explain, "The IT guy said it was just a malfunction, but it is working now."

    No word of a lie.

    "You had to go to the thirtieth floor though, right? Did you see him?" Ken's voice dropped to a whisper as they found their seats.

    Jin scrunched his nose, whispering back, "He was in his office."

    Taehyung certainly was.

    Ken commiserated with a quick grin while Kai eyed them speculatively.

    What the fuck is wrong with this bitch?

    "The fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth floors are entirely occupied by the Finance Teams. The seventeenth to twentieth floors here are occupied by the Procurement Specialists, Legal Team and the Property Management. Research and Development is on the 21st, while the 22nd and 23rd floors are occupied by the Telecommunications and ICT Team. Marketing on the 24th and 25th, while Public Relations is on the 26th, and finally, 27th to the top floors are the Executive offices. The security suites are at the same floor as the CEO's office."

    Ms. Soo's lulling high stilettos clipped away in front of them as they followed her on the grand tour around the floors of THV Corporation's corporate building.
