Lorelai Moore had been in homeschooling for the past two years due to her mental health she was given authorised absence from her school.

Now she entered the same school gates that she did two years ago. However this time it was different, she wasn't some geeky tween entering year nine, she was a sixth former making her grand entrance.

~

She strolled through the iron gates with a bright, phoney smile plastered upon her face, covering the enormous amount of anxiety that was bubbling inside of her.

Her eyes darted about, studying the surrounding apprehensively with her eyebrows raised with caution.

All of a sudden she felt an immediate weight on top of her. She staggered at the surprise before turning her head round to find out what the disturbance was.

A giggling blonde was attached to her back with her arms swinging themselves around Lorelai's neck.

"Hey hey hey,", she exclaims whilst ruffling the top of Lorelais's head.

The brunette straightened her back to allow the other girl to slide off easily before pulling her in for a hug.

"Ivy Holt!!", Lorelai squealed, releasing Ivy from the hug but still keeping one arm wrapped around her.

~

Ivy was my best friend throughout my rough patch, we met during my homeschooling as my dad did research about other homeschool kids so I would have people to communicate with.

Ivy and me clicked immediately, she had been homeschooled all her life. She was planning to continue that education for college but once we got closer she made a decision to join me in going to sixth form.

The thing I love most about Ivy, is how she never fails to make my stomach churn laughing. There's never a dull moment with her around, she is the absolute definition of party girl.
Ivy inspired me to jump out of my comfort zone, and by that I mean my dark room where I huddled up in for days on end during my depressive episodes. She taught me how to have fun, how to enjoy who I was now.

~

Stumbling into the common room, Ivy and Lorelai were in a fit of hysterics before they looked up and noticed the people watching them, clearly irritated at the distribution.

Anxiety began to built up in Lorelai's body, her throat feeling blocked and her hands starting to shake. She hated things like this. However, Ivy handled it with ease. She unlinked her arm from the brunette and skipped amble towards the sofa where all the people sat.

Ivy stick out her hand towards the nearest person, who happened to be quite a snooty girl with giant silver hoops hanging down from her ears who glanced disgustedly at the blonde's gesture.

If it was Lorelai in this situation, she would have melted into a deep dark ditch by now but Ivy was not easily put off.

She turned to the next person, who was a shy looking boy with auburn hair that was falling in front of his eyes making it hard for him to see through the pieces of hair.

She smiled at him warmly, and unlike the first girl he gave a small smile back whilst brushing his hair out his face with his hands, showing his freckles that laid upon his nose.

Ivy stuck out her hand once again, and he took it graciously.

"Ivy Holt,", she stated before gesturing to me with her free hand, "And this is Lorelai"

The brunette was slightly startled at her name being mentioned. She was used to just waiting in the background for Ivy to finish her grand entrance, that's the way she like it. Plus she knew most of these people from previous years in the school.

She waved at the boy timidly, he waved back.

Once Lorelai and Ivy had settled into their new surroundings they decided to leave in there free period to go get some coffee.

~

"Shutup!! I do not like him, I interact with one person and all of a sudden we are soulmates to you??", I exclaim to Ivy who had a cheeky grin plastered upon her face.

"Lorelai Moore, let me just remind you, you interact with n o - o n e. Therefore how am I supposed to tell the difference between you flirting and you just interacting wholesomely", she retorted.

I guess she had a point but I elbowed her playfully anyways.

We walked down the street, looking for a place to sit and have a drink when we spotted a small little coffee shop. We stopped outside to observe the menu.

As soon as we walked in, a little belle rang and a lady came up to us. She was very small, with grey hair and green eyes but a warm smile on her face that told me she was nice.

She led us to a wooden table with a cute potted plant in the middle of it and I got to admire the decoration of this place. The walls of the kitchen were bricks but they were painted sage green with little white lines separating each slab of brick, fairy lights were hung up everywhere and there were pieces of art dotted round the whole shop.

We ordered nearly everything on the menu after looking at it for just five minutes, however as soon as it all came I checked the time and discovered we had ten minutes to get back to sixth form for our next period.

We stuffed as many things as we could in our bags and our mouths. I grabbed Ivy's hand and ran out the coffee shop leaving a way bigger tip than I meant to.

As we were leaving the shop, we were pushed up against a girl who was trying to walk in.

I stopped when I saw her. Ivy looked puzzled at me whilst pointing to the time on her phone. The whole world stopped.

She stopped as well, looking back at me.

She looked mildly confused for a minute before breaking into a smile,

"Lorelai!", she burst out.

I stared at her, mouth wide open unable to talk. Ivy nudged me to knock me out of this daze.

I nodded apologetically for my pause towards the girl.

"Noelle?", I stammered, my brains going back in time to the last time I saw her and her beautiful blue eyes.
