I woke up feeling ecstatic, feeling like everything had changed for the better. I was at peace and Noelle was back, back in my life.
I pulled back my curtains to reveal the harsh light of the sun stinging my eyes, but instead of wincing away, I embraced it.
The sun blaring down onto my face had never felt so good before, it was annoyance but now it was a blessing.
My mom noticed my brightened expression, she was confused but she learnt to accept my good days as they were rare.

I practically skipped into the gates that morning and engulfed Ivy into a bear hug.
"What the fuck", she exclaimed with bewildered look on her face.
I just smiled at her and squeezed her hand as a reply.
To be fair, she was happy enough to continue our day, probably not daring to ask what caused such a pep in my step.

We were giggling as we strolled into the common room, only really focused on ourselves and how to make our comments funnier.
Of course, I had to check for Noelle, so she could see I was laughing and having fun without her.
My eyes darted amongst the room, searching for her familiar blonde hair.
And then I saw her.
It was as if time had stopped, I was frozen, I could hear Ivy trying to talk to me, grabbing my hand, trying to get my attention.
I was glued to the spot and I wished the earth would gulp me into the ground.
There she was. My Noelle, cuddling up to that bastard, kissing her cheek, brushing through her hair. I stared as she caressed the girl's thigh, massaging it as she moved.
