CHAPTER 1: After Sunset

V's POV

Uzi and N have been asleep for quite awhile now. Speaking of awhile, we've been on this stupid bus for so long. I think were about halfway back. Lizzy has been on her phone the whole time. Maybe I should get some rest aswell. The sun has risen, that's when we get some shut eye.

Just as I was about to go into sleep mode, i heard some faint talking. I figured either Uzi or N must've woken up. Might be a different drone. I hate how N and Uzi are so close. I dont get it. Why does N like her so much? Even after what happened at camp. She's making him too confident. He's starting to fight back.
I guess Uzi was the first one to wake up. N woke up shortly after. They started talking, while I was just listening.

Uzi's POV

I woke up to a tingle on my entire left side of my body. It was... painfull? Like I was burning...? What's happening... to me? I looked at my side, and there was smoke coming from me! Holy hell, I'm actually burning in the sun!!? I quickly looked at N. He was still fast asleep. I'm sorry N, but I need your help. I started to shake him lightly while calling out his name. Nothing. I shook him even harder this time. That seemed to wake him up, he liked like he just got war flashback though. "U-Uzi? What's wrong? Are we there?"
"N, what's wrong with me!" I started to scoot more over twords N to get out of the sun's unforgiving beams of fire.
"What are you doing? What do you mean what's wrong?"
"Im... burning! What do I do??"
"Oh, here we can move over to the other side of the bus, so your out of the sun. Do you want to sit on the inside?"
"Yeah."

N quickly moved out of the way, and let me in the seat first on the other side of the bus. Then, he plopped down next to me.
"N..."
"Yes Uzi? Are you ok?"
"Why is this happening to me...? What went... wrong."
"Uzi... it's ok. Were going to figure this out together! Baby steps, right?"
"...yeah... baby steps..."

I looked out the window, there was now miles of trees on either side of the road. It was still snowing quite a bit. From the looks of it, it was still really windy aswell. I looked up in front of me, that's when I seen V staring directly at me. What does she want.

I just glared at her with clear annoyance. She rolled her eyes, then shifted to where she was looking up ahead again. I don't understand what's her problem. Shes been acting like a bitch lately. She use to be ok, I guess. But now? Shes looking for every excuse that she can to kill me. Is it because of the transformation? I dont know what's going on either! Oh no what if my dad finds out?? What if somehow I cant keep the wings and tail put away?? Oh man. Ok, call down. It's going to be fine.

V's POV

Who does she think she is?? To just stare at me like that! Ugh! I hate her! So much!! Whatever. Well arrive soon, the faster we get there the fast N helps her with that stupid virus. The faster that's done, the faster we get rid of her. Good, cool, terrific, wonderful. N is so rediculous. We came her to kill all the corrupted workers, not be friends with them. And here I am- or was having to look after those stupid workers!
I decided with there being nothing better to do, I would just go into sleep mode untill we get there. Theres nothing to do, and Lizzy won't talk to me at all.

Uzi's POV

I woke up to a sudden jolt in the bus, and the sudden burst of talking. I guess where here. At least I'm assuming. I looked out the window, and sure enough, we were here. I asked N if he wanted to come over for the day, and maybe help me contain myself. I seriously didn't want my dad to find out. How would he react...? If only V didnt blow Doll to smithereens, I could ask her about the transformation and if she got it. Maybe that's why she was sorry for me. Anyway, N did say yes to comming over. When we got off the bus, V grabbed N by the arm, and they started talking. A few seconds later N said that we should also bring V with us, because she might know more. I was dreading taking her with us. I didn't want her to come. She's just going to look for an excuse to kill me. I just simply said "ugh, seriously." While rolling my eyes. I wonder what V said to N...
