I didn't do anything significant on Sunday and before I knew it the school had already started.
Luckily for me, it seems like the incident with Ichinose was kept a secret from everyone, and on the surface she acted like nothing happened, which was appreciated because I didn't want things to get awkward.
On another note, I agreed to meet NO NAME. I messaged him on Atafami and we agreed to meet on next Saturday at noon at Tokyo Station. I'm actually looking forward to it.
Right now, it was Monday afternoon, class had just ended, meaning it was time for Yuki's basketball try outs.
I decided to accompany her to the gym, where the try outs were taking place.
"Good luck with your try outs, Yuki. I know you'll kill it," I cheered her on.
"Thanks Kiyo, I'll be sure to give it my best," she clinched her fists to show her motivation. She sure was hyped up.
"Yuki-chan!"
We were interrupted by a voice I've never heard before. A girl who I assumed to be an upperclassman ran over to us.
"Yuki-chan! You're her- oh? Who's this?"
"Hey Nazuna-senpai! This is..."
"Hello senpai, I'm Ayanokoji Kiyotaka from Yuki's class," I jumped in.
"Nice to meet you Ayanokoji-kun, I'm Asahina Nazuna from class 2-A!" she greeted me, "I didn't know you had a boyfriend, Yuki-chan!"
"He's not my boyfriend!"
"Oh, look at you getting all red, I'm just joking. You're here to watch Yuki play?" she turned to me and asked.
"Oh no, I just came to drop here off, I have things to do after this."
"You seem like a busy man," she teased.
"Actually, he works part-time at a bookstore."
"Really? Which one?"
"I don't know how familiar you are with Tokyo, but at that one bookstore in the center of Tokyo."
"Wow, you must have a lot of customers everyday then. Anyway, I'll leave you guys alone. The try outs are gonna begin soon. You better change quickly Yuki-chan or else you'll be late. And see you around, Ayanokoji-kun!" she said as she jogged away.
"I never thought I would get to know an upperclassman," I said.
"Nazuna-senpai is really nice. We get along well, she's also pretty good at basketball."
"That's great then. Well, I'll be going now. Good luck Yuki, you got this," I put my hand out for a high five.
This was a routine of ours. Accompanying Yuki to practice wasn't an uncommon thing. We used to do that all the time in middle school. I would sometimes even go watch her games. Every time, we would give each other a high five before practice or the game begins.
Yuki looked at my hand and gave me a bright smile.
"Yeah, I'm all hyped up now! Take care on your way home!" she said as she gave me a strong high five. She then left and waved me goodbye as she entered the locker room to change, but not before Asahina-senpai used the occasion to tease her, which made her become all red.

At the end of my shift that day, I turned on my phone to see a message from Yuki.

I'm so happy :D
