Emperor Wangji smirked,
"When are you going to release me?"

Wei Ying was embarrassed. He immediately let go of his hand.

"I didn't do it intentionally. Please pardon my offence!" He kneeled down,lowering his head.

Lan Wangji smiled mischievously.
"Oh then tell me what offence did you commit?

As he spoke Wangji held Wei Ying by the chin and his gorgeous ebony eyes met the shy chocolate brown ones, staring with utmost innocence.

" I...I...collided with your majesty." Wei Ying stuttered. His voice was mild and soft like a spring river.

Wangji thought his beauty was so weak for a man. Tut...may be he is an abandoned son of the Chen country?

Emperor Wangji kept looking at his face, his long fingers holding Wei Ying by his delicate chin.

" Hmm...Your Majesty?"

Wei Ying felt uncomfortable and tried to break the silence.

Wangji sighed. "Fine. Let him be for the moment. There's no fun bullying such a weak man."

So, he kept his thoughts to himself and asked instead,
" Have you dined?"

Wei Ying- "I have not."

Wei Ying became silent. He couldn't understand why his majesty was asking him this. Does that mean he wants to dine at the Mingyue palace?

Or does he want Wei Ying to serve him while he's dining?

Emperor Wangji broke his stupor, asking him to lay the table.

He even made Wei Ying stand up from his kneeling position.

Wei Ying answered in yes, though inwardly he couldn't think what his majesty was planning to do.

Wangji smirked, staring at Wei Ying's fragil countenance.

"The imperial physician may take a while to get here. You're hurt, and you are too weak.

You may pass out again, if you don't dine right now. I don't want the physician to think that I abused you!"

Wei Ying immediately panicked-" Why would your majesty think this way? You....you haven't....

Wangji- " Look at how weak you are. Your face is even pale. Even if you say that I didn't abuse you, nobody would believe my dear."

While speaking Wangji held Wei Ying and made him sit on the bed. He was only trying to alarm Wei Ying and was thoroughly enjoying his shy and fragile concubines' timid expression.

If possible Wei Ying's cheeks turned all the more rosy and the Emperor couldn't help but admire his beauty.

On the other hand, Wei Ying was speechless. He wondered what does his majesty mean by this.

Is his majesty caring for him in a weird way? Or is he mocking him? Which one, Wei Ying failed to understand.

Wangji all this while was looking at Wei Ying carefully. After some thought he said, "Your real name is not Xie Huan, is it?

Wei Ying became tormented. He thought should he tell the truth and surrender to his majesty?

But if he continues to hide his identity and let his majesty believe him to be a spy sent by the Chen country, wouldn't it be better for now?
