And just as he came in front, he found Wei Ying, lying with his head half bent over the stone and half of his body inside the cool Pond.
Wei Ying's eyes were closed. It seemed like he was sleeping.
Lan Wangji's face turned pale when he saw his Lady Xie like that. He assumed Wei Ying had become much thinner and more fragile.
Lan Wangji went down on his knees and slowly covered Wei Ying's naked body with a warm cloth, and tenderly scooped him up in his arms, bringing him closer to his chest. Wei Ying too nestled closer to him, like he has found back his own personal warmth.
As Lan Wangji was about to leave with him, Yan Zichen pulled Lady Xie's other hand.
Yan Zichen-- ( with a grave voice ) Wangji, I want to take him away.
Lan Wangji looked at Yan Zichen with a questioning gaze, his eyes widened in astonishment , then it gradually turned cold. So cold, that it was frightening. Like anything that comes in between him and his Lady Xie will be burned to ashes.
But his hold over Wei Ying didn't loosen an inch.
