James woke up to his alarm blaring, it's shrill shriek echoing around his head. Leon's voice telling him to get up made him cringe, so he ducked under his covers, hiding his head.
Like he had an actual alarm, Leon did a plenty good job on his own.
His brain felt like it might jump out of his skull, the pounding making it almost impossible to even think. He felt the covers be pulled off him, and a big hand physically haul him round to face it's owner, his eldest brother.
"Good morning to you, James." Said Leon. "Up, please."
James let out a strangled groan and tried to curl up into tiny a ball. Leon smirked down at him.
"Come on, before I have to carry you downstairs." James covered his face with his hands and let out another cry.
"Oh, for goodness sake." Leon sighed. He reached down and picked up his youngest brother. James definitely hadn't finished growing, and was still quite short (ish), but really, Leon doubted he would ever be particularly tall. His younger brother buried his face in his neck, trying to cling to the elder. "Come on James, it's hard enough to carry you as it is. Let's get you some breakfast."
"Nooo..." whined James. "I feel sick."
"You have to go to school, James Jordan. Now go downstairs and get some breakfast."
There was no movement from his youngest brother.
Leon sighed and walked out the room, still carrying James.
"I feel sickkk." he whined again.
Leon ignored him and kept on walking.
"Actually Leo, I'm gonna throw up!" He pleaded. Leon paused, hearing a tone of legitimate panic along with the nickname. He tried to take a look at his face to see if he was lying, but a gag confirmed it. He ran to the bathroom, and they made it just in time for James to vomit into the toilet.
"Oh Jamesy..." Leon crouched down next to his brother and ran his fingers through his hair. "You weren't kidding about being ill." James groaned in response, and promptly threw up again.
It was at this moment that Joshua chose to stroll in. He took one look at his brothers on the floor, then continued with his day unbothered. He shut the door, turned the shower on and started to strip off his clothes.
"Joshua?" Leon spluttered. "What- what on earth do you think you're doing?"
Josh turned to face Leon, now only wearing his socks and underwear. "Having a shower...?" He said, as if it were obvious.
"Could you not use the other bathroom? This ones a little occupied right now."
"The door was open." Joshua shrugged. "Oscars in the other one. I always come in here at this time!"
"It wasn't a question, Joshua."
"Why d'you phrase it like one, then?"
"Joshua Henry Corrin, if you don't get out of this bathroom, this instant, I am going to-" Leon's threat was not needed, as Josh had very quickly switched off the shower and vacated the bathroom, still in just his underwear.
Leon turned back to James, who was hunched over with his face in his hands. "How are you feeling, bud?"
"Eurghh..." Groaned James. Leon chuckled to himself, then pulled his youngest brother into a hug. "Let's get you back to bed."
"Nooo..." James whined, clinging to his brother. "Stay with me!"
Leon sighed, "I'll get you settled on the sofa, then."
