Chapter 17: Split life

 "Wakie, wakie.."

Honestly, people waking me up was just a daily occurrence at this point. So, I'm a light sleeper, sadly. I was honestly hoping to enjoy the luxury of this room for a grade-A sleep for a good majority of the day, but once again, when you gotta train, you gotta train.

Belle ended up waking me up, as she was hoping to get a good amount of training in with me today, as I didn't really have any objections. She once again ended up training me, since I already ended up getting most of the music down, she would often perform mock battles, to which, rather than use her uncanny blade dancing, she would assume the role of a bard, being blasting me with sound based attacks. She said that this would "fine tune" my hearing, as well a vibratic-sense or 6th sense reliant on the mid air vibrations.

After getting pummeled quite a bit, it was true that I began to sense things around me a bit differently. As my domain sense would often allow me to see the lightning magic in my area, instead, I could end up sensing "the beat". It still wasn't fine tuned. She said that my next thing to do was to heighten my charisma.

"Do you know what charisma is?"

"How...good someone looks?"

"Well, if it was that easy, you and me would naturally be high." I think that was a compliment as well as a self-compliment. "However, that is only a small part of charisma. It also includes how well you interact with people. Theoretically, aura and charisma are tied to one another, as charisma being the key stat for further prominence in the aura department. Now, I am not suddenly telling you to become some sort of aura master. Rather, just utilize what you currently have, to observe and understand someone, akin to a dance."

Well, I'm glad that I'm not the only one talking is gamer terms. It's probably the first I heard someone talk about that stat. Maybe I should put more stats into charisma, just for good measure...wait a minute. "Charisma? Where have you heard that from?" I asked.

She ended up thinking on this "I think it was from an apothecary."

"Apothecary? So, you were sick?"

"No, my younger sister was. I ended up raising money, trying to get medicine by dancing. The apothecary said he would do it for free, but my sister and I refused such hand-outs. To which he just gave me that little tip when it came to dancing."

Ok...so this just may be just be the cause of a Domain Lord. Either the Apothecary is one, or that the Apothecary heard that from someone else. Maybe a Acolyte? Well, there's no way to prove that so, so need to worry.

After giving me a tip, Belle ended up giving me an assignment for the day: go on an adventurer. Naturally, this would have to take place at the adventurer's guild. This only let to concern as to whether or not Sierra would approve of this. Onced my training for today concluded, I ended up running it by Sierra to see if it would work.

"So, how about it?" I asked.

Sierra contemplated on it. "Alright. It's still quite dark out. You should be able to leave the city. After you are a mile out, you should be able to drink this-" She hands me a potion. "And that will revert you back to your original form. From there, you can end up living your life in the city. Don't chicken out and flee. Don't put any more attention on yourself than what you can naturally cause. And Don't interact more than you have to."

Her rules didn't really act as being acceptable in terms of becoming stronger as a bladedancer. However, since this was mainly an observation scheme, I could probably obey the rules.

Though, she went a bit far. She ended up coercion me into a large back, before getting some of the guards to sent it all the way to the outskirts of town onto a farm address. The ride was quite bumpy, and being grabbed, throwing around, and still called heavy was quite annoying, even for me. Once I ended up being grown onto the ground, before the guard rode back.
