Chapter 13 : escape 

Jacob pov:

Maisie opened her eyes and she looked around and she was in bed and see Jacob beside her and see crow and Sarah listening to Jacob story about them getting a help from red and y/n.

"I see that's quite a story, Jacob." Crow looked at Jacob with serious look at his face and Maisie looked down at her arms and see a blood tube and followed it up where it from Jacob arm.

"The hunter what befriended a beast and a devil. Hmm?" he moved his head closer to Jacob eyes and Jacob lowered his head down.

"The beast what took me dead light and the devil what killed peoples lives" he put his finger on his eye patch.

"What am I to make of ye, Jacob?" He was waiting for Jacob to answer and he have a serious tone.

"That thing and I, we, uh, had, uh, an understanding" he lowered his head down when he after said that.

"What about the red devil?" He gave Jacob a cold glare and Jacob wants to tell him that what happened to you and who you are but he didn't want to tell him about you because he wants to protect you from him and crow might hurt you or kill you.

"We Also have, uh, a lot of talk" Jacob lowers his head down and looked back at crow.

"A truce. Hmm? But there cannot be a truce without war. Whatever happened out there is nothing against hundreds of years of war." Maisie moved her head a bit and see her bag was hanging on a chair and see the knife that Sarah gave her.

"I've always known what I was, Jacob. I'm the son of a captain, who was the son of a captain. If we are born to fight, then by god, let's fight. That we may be tested and find our greatness. So I ask you Jacob, my son, are you my enemy?" Jacob think for a minute and thinking about you but before he could say anything maisie got out of bed and quickly grab the knife and charge at crow.

"Maisie, stop!!" Jacob quickly got up from his chair and grabbed maisie arms to stop her from killing crow and both of them fell on the floor and Jacob moved the knife away from maisie hand.

"Let them go!" Maisie gave crow a cold look in her eyes and she wanted crow to free you both because she really loved them because she has you and she thinks of you as a mother.

"She's all vinegar." Crow got up and grab his jacket and his captain hat and Jacob picked up maisie and take her back to bed and put her down gently.

"You need to help red and y/n. They are... our...friends" maisie beg Jacob to help her to free them.

"I'm sorry. I'll get you back to Guelston. You'll have a...good long...life." He was pulled away from the doctor to remove the blood tube off of his arm.

"But first, we'll pay a visit to castle white rock. We have a date with the king and queen." He crow put his jacket back on and the doctor removed the blood tube from Jacob arm and Jacob looked at maisie for a second and he walked away and grab his gear belt and put it back on his torso.

"Jacob, I imagine you could use a drink" they both walked away and Jacob looked over at maisie to see her one more time before he looked away and Jacob looked around to find you and he find a door close and heard a loud breath.
