"Slowly..." Shotaro held his hands out to you, helping you stand from the couch and to the bathroom. "Like I said before, hold onto me if you have to."

He turned on the bathroom light for you and prepared to shut the door. "Do you need any clothes from your room?"

"Nah..." You shook your head a little. "Got some in here."

"Okay." Shotaro nodded. "I'll be out here if you need anything." He finally shut the bathroom door, leaving you in your privacy while he went to clean up the living room.

He grabbed the two bowls sitting on the table and placed them into the sink, soon turning his attention to the rest of the apartment. That's when he noticed the living room had a separate scent apart from the hallway, which smelled lightly of marijuana and cherries.

The living room had a gentle air of cigarette smoke coming from the outside through the windows, and a stronger note of jasmine – he remembered that scent from earlier when you first stepped into his car.

The scent was familiar – comfortable, but Shotaro couldn't recognize it then.

Whatever thoughts were running through his head were soon cut short, however, by a faraway collision coming from a little further down the hallway.

At first, he thought the noise came from the bathroom, and he had rushed to the door to see if you were okay, but a tipped-over turntable in your bedroom caught him off guard. "Oh, shit..."

The turntable fell off your desk, and Shotaro moved to pick up the small piece of equipment, taking that moment to observe your room, his eyes scanning over the top of your desk, your bed, and then your closet doors before returning to your desk.

He noticed a short pile of notebooks stacked away in a corner, all of them stamped in blue marker, seemingly dating back five or so years.

Each notebook was labeled with various music genres as well, the top notebook labeled "R&B," and he could make out the lettering of the bottom one reading "For Dee."

Shotaro's eyebrows furrowed slightly as he set the turntable back down on your desk in its original place, but aside from that piece of equipment, he didn't touch anything else, just turning to leave your room.

Walking past the bathroom door again, he heard the shower come to an end, and waited just a few steps away, patiently.

You did eventually open the door, stepping out in a long-sleeve "MF DOOM" tee and sweats. You were standing upright with one of your hands gripping the sink for support.

"Need help getting back to the couch?" Shotaro offered in a soft voice. Instead of responding, you trudged past him to get further down the hall, your knees buckling before you could even take a proper step.

Shotaro chuckled, taking a gentle hold of your shoulders. "That means yes." Seating you back down on the couch, he then took a seat on the floor in front of you.

"Can I ask you something, Yanni?" He tilted his head.

"What?" You muttered.

"You know the street I found you on was nowhere near your place, right?" You shrugged one of your shoulders. "What were you doing down there?"

"Party," You simply stated.

"Did you go with that one dude that pulled up on us earlier?"

You nodded. "Then how come he couldn't give you a ride back?" Shotaro followed up with another question.
