This one goes out to all my short homies out there.

--Howdy's POV:---

Y/N has been here for a few months now, and over the time of their stay, they've helped me out in the shop a whole ton! I'm incredibly grateful for them too! There's just one problem..

--Y/N's POV:---

I walked outside of my home and started on my walk to Howdy's Place. I didn't have anything planned for today so I decided I would see if Howdy needed help with anything! As I walked to the store, I seen a few of my favorite neighbors. I waved goodmorning to them and continued my walk to Howdy's. Once I arrived, I opened the door which made a little *ding!* sound. "I'll be right with you!" That was his reply every time he heard the bell, no matter who it was, you found it funny, and pretty cute. Howdy walked behind his counter and looked up to see you and his eyes softened at your arrival. He smiled and greeted you. "Well, goodmorning Y/N! What brings you here today?" "Well, I'm not here to shop, I wanted to see if you needed help with anything!" He let out a laugh. "Oh? Well good for you I was just about to start cleaning! You can help me with that then! Why don't you start by helping me dust off the shelves?" Howdy reached out one of his lower arms and in his hand was a feather duster. "Alright!" You took the duster from his hand and you both smiled as he walked out from behind his counter and towards the shelves and started dusting.

You walked over to some shelves and began dusting them as well. You were just about finished until... "uhhm.." ..you were too short to reach the top shelves. You reluctantly continued to try and dust the shelves even though you couldn't see what you were dusting. Meanwhile Howdy had heard you making tiny noises (🤨) while you stretched to dust the top shelves and had walked over to you. He stood behind you giggling and began laughing at you. You obviously heard him laughing at you and turned around. ".. What's so funny?", you asked knowing dang well what was so funny, you were short, very short. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be laughing it's just that..your so tiny!" You starred at him, glaring. "Well, I mean, there's nothing wrong persay about being short, it's pretty cute, actually." Your glare turned into a slightly surprised blush, and so did his. He covered his mouth with one of his hands, looking away after realizing what he had said.

--Howdy's POV:---

I had accidentally said that they were cute. 'What if they make fun of me.' 'What if they are uncomfortable around me now??' 'What if they hate me???' 'what if-' My thoughts were cut off my Y/N holding onto one of my hands, making me blush. "Howdy, I don't hate you. I could never hate you." I was shocked by their comment, had I said all of that out loud? "You don't?" "No, Howdy. I wouldn't hate you over something so dumb. I mean, all you did was say I was cute! Now, If you could please~ help me dust these shelves!" They really were the cutest.. "Ah! Alrighty then!" I picked them up and let them dust off some of the shelves. As I was holding them up they held onto my hands as support, making me blush. And just as we were about to finish...*ding!* Wally had walked in with Poppy and Eddie. All three of them stopped in their tracks and just laughed at us...
