Nova had eventually managed to send Mattheo off to bed before midnight, he still wouldn't let her anywhere near the Slytherin common room but he told her he'd send a message that he got back safe.
As she got back into her own dormitory, she glanced over at Magnolia, who was still sound asleep. The brunette tiptoed toward her friend's bed and sat on the edge of it as she pulled the blanket over Mag's shoulders.
The girl leaned into her touch and smiled happily against her. "Regina?" she whispered in a sleepy daze. Nova laughed, Regina was the girl Mag had been attempting to dance with earlier. Regina Lovegood; the oldest daughter of Xenophilous and Pandora Lovegood. Nova didn't know the girl very well apart from the fact she was in Ravenclaw and was known for being a little bit of a perfectionist.
"You're pretty, so pretty," Mag's mumbled as she dropped her head onto Nova's knee.
Nova softly moved the girl into a comfier position and brushed a hand through her hair. "You're quite consistent, aren't you?" she whispered.
"So pretty Reg..." the girl trailed off and Nova chuckled as she moved up to go to her own bed.
"You'll win her over," the brunette whispered, and Mag's face twisted into a sleepy smile.
Nova slipped into some comfier clothes and pulled the sheets up around herself. She couldn't help but feel slightly guilty for never returning to Cedric, but she'd apologise in the morning, after all, it had been a really long day and she just wanted to finally close her eyes and sleep.
However, she never drifted off until the coin in her palm started to light up with a soft lilac glow.

The next day Nova hovered above Magnolia's bed with a bottle of water, trying to wake her friend up, but the pink-haired witch only wriggled around more.
"C'mon Mags, a bit of breakfast will do you well," Nova giggled, only to have a pillow thrown at her face. "Mention food again and it won't be a pillow I throw," the girl groaned into the sheets.
Nova shook her head to stifle a laugh, then placed the water beside her friend's bed, adding to the collection of things she'd provided last night for the girl.
Then she got ready, it was the first day of her second term at Hogwarts and exam season; she'd been prepared for this.
Remus had practically given her a library of sorts to study, she stuffed a couple of the books into her bag and moved down to grab a quick breakfast.
Cedric was already awake, sitting at the practically empty table, fixing up some loose bristles on his quidditch broom. Nova felt a little patter in her heart, she hoped he wasn't mad at her for accidentally ditching him last night.
She really hadn't meant to do it, had just gotten caught up trying to drag Mattheo away.
The other boy in question was nowhere near the breakfast hall. He, like Magnolia, was probably writhing in his dorm.
"Hey," Nova said sheepishly as she sat beside the boy.
He instantly flipped his leg over the bench to face her with a bright smile. "About last night, I... uh... I'm s-" she started, but he let out a soft chuckle and placed his broom onto the bench between them to free his hands.
"You have nothing to be sorry for, I had a great night. After Fred and George whisked you away, I didn't stay too long anyway, had to be up for quidditch practice," he said, reaching his hand out across the table and leaving it facing upwards, like he wanted her to hold it.
Nova did just that, squeezing it before returning her hand to her lap.
"If anything I should be apologizing," he mused, picking his broom back up to tighten the edges where the wood met the bristles. Nova furrowed her brow at that and he paused to look at her. "I should have come to find you before I left, I just didn't know where they'd taken you," he laughed.
