We the Supremes

The Prologue

good kind and not what the lower life forms had twisted darkness into. He watched as they both realized their mistake though he had seen it coming a mile away. These lesser life forms were twisting them and making them fight each other for whatever self-righteous reason they came up with. Using them as war machines to do with as they pleased. 

He watched on curious as they came together and combined their powers to create one final Supreme Deity, a child of Balance. He knew immediately what the child's only purpose in life was, fixing everyone's mistakes. Repairing things before they became too broken to be fixed. And keeping his older siblings from running too free. An existence such as that will not live a particularly happy one but, he had a feeling he'll make a way. 

Genesis and Apollo both wanted to bring their children up to Cosmia but he suddenly had a new idea for entertainment. And he told them, most of their godly influence would be sealed and they would have to live through 1,000 lives excluding any lives where they have to time-travel or reincarnate. They both wanted to argue but knew they stood no chance against him and they sat back and watched as he sealed their powers and sent them down into the unknown. 

The children all could meet with their parents after one of their lives had reached their end and were allowed to remain in Cosmia until they reincarnated again. This, unfortunately, led to him growing a soft spot and genuinely caring for them. So, with every life they had he allowed them to unlock more and more of their abilities, and finally, after eons, they arrived at their 999th life. Once this life was over they would be free to stay in Cosmia permanently, then this torturous cycle would be over. 

But from the very start things were already wrong with this life. The first to arrive was Darkness, this was unusual as usually either Balance or Light arrived first. And then on top of that Darkness appeared to have been absorbed and sealed away in the depths of the soul of another being. 

And some time later Light arrived, this was a relief because it meant that things might even themselves out. 

And then finally, Balance arrived only for things to go array because the same soul that had absorbed Darkness had stolen Balance's body and sent him spiraling into another world. It was worrying but, as both Light and Darkness were already in this world they should balance each other out. 

But, then some lesser Gods got drunk on power and started tormenting Light. They made his light miserable, they turned his family, heck basically every human against Light. They abused and humiliated him repeatedly, and he and the twins had to hold back Genesis and Apollo before they destroyed the world by daring to arrive on the surface without a host. And then, Light got murdered at the end, strengthening Darkness which then started to consume the world. Those lesser Gods had attempted to summon Balance there but Balance refused. He saw the history of the world and how things had been balanced before they murdered Light. Darkness soon consumed the world, and Balance rewound time. 

This time some people were allowed to keep their memories but those lesser Gods who didn't even have their memories of the first timeline messed things up again because the power to choose who gets to keep their memories was given to them. Resulting in them giving the memories to people who didn't really care about Light and only cared enough to stop the murder attempt on Light. But, that resulted in Darkness's host kidnapping Light and once again leading to the death of Light. They once again tried to summon Balance but Balance had decided that this timeline wasn't worth saving. 

He then decided to take pity and rewound time one final time. He hated the way the story was going, seeing his grandchildren suffering like this at the hands of lesser beings. He gave Light some of his memories from the previous timelines and summoned Balance to the world. He then instructed him to go find Light before he then went and woke Darkness up a bit, he needed him to regain some semblance of consciousness so he can be later recovered by Light and Balance. 

And then he sat back and waited, he needed to see what they would do with this new chance.
