CHAPTER 128

"Aane ka karan kya hai, kaal ?" Mrunmaye asked looking at Kaal who had come in a disguise of a sage.

"Chinta na kariye, prabhu. Mahakaal ki putri ka kaal kya ahit kar sakta hai ? Vishesh kar tab jab Shreeshaktiswar samaksh ho ? Mai yaha kisi ko lene nahi, kuch kehne aya hu." Kaal assured seeing the defensive stance of the avatar of Yuddheswar.

"Kya kehna hai ?" Rameshwari asked calmly, holding the arm of Mrunmaye.

"Aapne jo avadhi maangi thi apne avatar ke liye, woh samapt hone wali hai. Kaal said.

"Toh yadi aap icchuk ho, toh aap apne avatar ki avadhi badha sakti hai. Aap jab tak chaahe tab tak bhulok mei iss deh ke saath vicharan kar sakti hai. Mujhe vishwas hai ki Shri Ram bhi isse harshit honge." Kaal said.

"Aisa lagta hai ki aap chaahte hai ki mai apne avatar ki avadhi badhayu." Rameshwari deducted with a small smile.

"Mai hi nahi, apetu samast devi-devta bhi yeh chaahte hai. Devi, aapne apne iss avatar se sansaar ko mohit kar liya hai. Indra sadev aapke darshan hetu aatur rehte hai, Suryadev bhi theher ke aapki leelao ko dekhte hai, Rishi-Muni Brahmalok mei aapki kirti gaate hai, Mahadev bhi aapke baare mei soch kar muskurate hai. Yadi aap apne avatar ki avadhi badha de, toh kisi ko bhi koi apatti nahi hogi." Kaal said.

"Kintu mujhe apatti hai." Rameshwari said.

"Kaisi apatti ?" Kaal asked.

"Mujhe apatti iss baat se hai ki yadi maine apne jeevan ki avadhi badha di, toh Maa Adi Shakti ka diya shraap vifal ho jaayega. Yeh mai nahi chaahti. Jagat janani hai woh, sabki Mata hai, meri bhi. Unke vardaan ka sammaan mai karti hu toh unke shraap ka bhi sammaan mujhe karna padega." Rameshwari said without a second thought.

"Toh kya yahi aapka antim nirnaye hai ?" Kaal asked.

"Ha. Mai apne jeevan ki avadhi nahi badhayungi." Rameshwari said.

"Jaisi aapki iccha. Aur dev Mrunmaye, Rameshwari ke annt ka samaye nikat hai toh aapke bhi avatar ke annt ka samaye aur nikat hai." Kaal said.

"Jaanta hu." Mrunmaye said with a nod.

"Aapka shesh samaye mangal-maye ho." Kaal said and then disappeared in thin air.

Mrunmaye and Rameshwari looked at each other with sad smiles, he gazed at her hand which was still holding her arm. He took both her hands in his, bending down he placed a soft kiss on the back of her hand, while she just stared at him with eyes glistening like the sun.

Both of them just stood there for a while, the sunrays fell over them, giving them a glow but it's wasn't as bright as the one that they were radiating while holding hands.

"Chale ?" Mrunmaye asked.

"Man kehta hai ki keval nihaarti rahu aapko, aur bacha huya jeevan aise hi nikal jaaye." Rameshwari said.

"Iccha toh meri bhi aisi hi hai. Kintu, Shri Ram ne kaha tha ki suryast se poorv lautne ko." He said.

"Uchit hai." She said with a sad smile.

And then with their hands entangled in each other, they both walked to where the maids had gone, to the horses.

Reaching there they saw a worried Shaurya-shakti, standing with a scroll in his hands.

"Shaurya ?" Mrunmaye asked going towards him.

"Bhaiya, hume abhi Shripuram chalna hoga." He said.

"Kya huya ?" Mrunmaye asked.

"Maharaj aur Maharani ne ann tyaag diya hai. Aapko shigreh bulaya gaya hai." Shaurya-shakti said.

A sigh left the lips of Mrunmaye, this was the beginning of end.

"Toh chalo Samrat se vida le aaj hi nikalte hai." Mrunmaye said.

He then looked at Rameshwari, who was looking at him with great worry and concern, he just gave her a smile of assurance.

"Chinta na karo, Rajkumari. Agli baar jab aayunga tab apne saath leke jaayunga." He said.
