''I would miss Phoenix. I'd miss the heat, I would miss my loving, erratic, harebrained mother.'' thought Bella while holding her cactuses in her hand and hugging her mom.
Hayley who was in the car already waiting for Bella was thinking otherwise. ''I am so glad I get to leave, of course I prefer warm weather like in Phoenix, but the fact that Forks is a small town where everyone knows each other and cares for each other is making me get drawn towards it.''
In the State of Washington, under a near constant cover of clouds and rain, there's a small town named Forks, population: 3,120 people.
''So, I see your hairs longer'' said Charlie, the chief of police, Bella and Hayley's dad. ''Yeah, I have grown it out.'' responded Hayley.
When the car parked into the driveway Hayley came out of the front seat and Bella out of the back. Bella remembered how she used to spend two weeks here every summer, but it has been years even though every chance Hayley got she would visit Charlie. Hayley went to help Charlie with the suitcases while Bella took the backpacks while going inside. When they were upstairs Charlie showed Hayley her room first. ''I kind of remodeled the place after you said you were coming''
The girls would've had to share a room, but since Bella never visited, Hayley had the room to herself.
Hayleys room was the whole attic. When you walk up the stairs the first thing you could see was the window with a couple of pillows on the window seat. Her bed was on the right side of the room and a desk and a chair were on the left side of the room. The wall around the desk was covered in childhood pictures Hayley had drawn of her family and Jacob and her which created nostalgia right away. On the left and right side there were shelves with books.
It was Hayley's dream room.
Hayley quickly turned and hug her father trying not to cry. Knowing how much time and money this took him and how grateful she was for him. ''Hey, let me show you this aswell.'' Hayley let go of her father and followed him to the other side of the room. He opened the wooden door and was met with a small walk in closet. It had four different spaces you could hang your clothes in and under you could put your shoes, and there were some drawers aswell. Hayley almost started crying.
''And umm there's this too'' He walked to the other door that was a couple of feet away from the bed. He opened the door that revealed the small bathroom that somehow fitted a sink, a bathtub with a shower faucet, and a toilet in it. Hayley loved the fact that she didn't have to share a bathroom with the other two people in the house.
Now Hayley couldn't hold the tears in anymore and they just started falling down her cheeks. Charlie quickly closed the door and went to Hayley. ''What is it Princess, you don't like it?'' asked Charlie, wiping Hayley's tears. ''No, Dad I love it'' said Hayley while hugging him. ''Okay, I'm glad you like it, but stop crying your going to make me cry'' he kissed Hayley on the head and went to check in with Bella.
Hayley took her bags and unpacked while looking at the pictures and realising they formed a heart. She quickly took a tissue and wiped her tears that were forming again.
