La Push (11)

                                            ''La Push baby, you two in?''

Eric approached the girls who looked confused. ''Are we supposed to know what that means?'' Hayley chuckled looking at her sister, then at Eric.

''La Push beach down on the Quileute Rez, we're all going tomorrow.'' Mike explained. ''Yeah, there's a big swell coming in.'' Jessica added.

''And I don't just surf the internet.'' Eric jumped on his chair gaining the groups attention while Mike was copying his movements.

''Eric. You stood up once. And it was a foam board.'' Jessica commented. ''But there's a whale watch too. Come with us.'' Angela looked at Hayley and Bella.

''La Push baby. It's La Push.'' Eric started trying out different ways to say the word. Bella looked at her sister who rolled her eyes. ''Okay we'll go if you stop saying that.'' Hayley smiled. ''Yeah definitely.'' Bella agreed.

''Hayley.'' Hayley felt someones hands on her eyes. ''Alice?'' Hayley guessed and gently took the hands off her eyes and looked behind her. ''Can we talk really quick?'' she asked.

Hayley noticed her friends were in shock that one of the Cullens came to talk to Hayley because they knew that the family kept to themselves.

Before Hayley could answer Alice took her hand and walked a couple steps away. ''What's up?'' ''I was wondering if you were busy this weekend?'' she asked, knowing that she had planned to go to La Push but hoping she wouldn't go to the Quileute land.

''Yeah sorry. I planned to go to La Push with some other friends.'' she replied. ''Okay.'' Alice looked a little sad but didn't show it much. ''You can always come with us.'' ''I don't know. Maybe.'' Alice went back to her own table and Hayley to hers.

The next day Hayley and Bella were sitting in the back of Tyler's van along with Angela. Mike, Eric and Jessica were putting on wetsuits for surfing.

The day was freezing cold so Hayley and Bella wore multiple layers and Angela had a blanket covering her. Hayley considered also trying to surf but it was too cold for her. Angela looked at the sisters and started speaking.

''So I keep thinking Eric's gonna ask me to prom. And he just, doesn't.'' She sighed. ''You should ask him.'' Hayley looked at Angela. She could see that she liked Eric a lot. ''Take control.'' she added. ''Your a strong, independent woman.'' Bella finished Hayley's sentence.

''I am?'' Angela asked. ''Yeah.'' ''Of course.'' the sisters responded with a smile. Jessica came to Angela asking if she could help with her zipper.

Hayley opened her bag of Twizzlers and gave one to Bella and Angela. Hayley noticed three long haired boys approaching them. ''Jacob!'' she gave him a hug. ''Hi I'm Hayley.'' she introduced herself to his friends.

''Guys, this is Jacob.'' Bella introduced him to her friends. ''Hi'' he greeted before Hayley pulled him to sit between the girls.

''What are you stalking us now?'' Bella teased Jacob. ''You're on my Rez remember?'' He laughed. ''Are you surfing?'' he asked. ''Definitely not.'' Bella responded while Hayley was offering him a Twizzler which he happily took.

''You should keep Bella company. Her date bailed.'' Jessica announced laughing.

Hayley glared at Jessica. It was like Jessica wanted to humiliate Bella. She definitely wanted to be the "top dog" with no competition.

''What date?'' Eric asked. ''She invited Edward.'' Jessica laughed again making Bella uncomfortable.

Hayley decided then that she didn't like Jessica. But she decided to do something about it.

''Jessica, can I talk to you.'' Hayley stood up. ''Sure.'' Jessica looked at her confused. Hayley took her hand and walked a couple feet away from the cars so no one could see them or hear them.

''What do you think your doing?'' Hayley looked at Jessica. ''What do you mean?'' Jessica laughed. Hayley rolled her eyes. ''You're trying to humiliate Bella. You didn't like her from day 1. It is nice that she invited Edward, you don't have to be such a bitch about it that he didn't come.'' Hayley stated. Jessica quickly started to walk back to the van ignoring what Hayley just said but still looked back. ''Yeah, maybe I don't like Bella, but I was starting to like you. But now you messed it all up.''

When Hayley got back to the group Jessica, Eric and Mike were already surfing. She took her Twizzlers and looked at Bella. ''Bells I'm leaving, you coming?'' ''Why is your face red?'' ''It doesn't matter. You coming or not?'' ''Yeah.'' Bella stood up and followed Hayley.
