                                                           ''Please be nice.''

Hayley overheard Bella speaking to Charlie while she was getting him a beer. ''What are you guys talking about?'' she hopped onto the conversation. ''Oh just Bells is leaving us for a Cullen.'' Charlie said. ''He's being dramatic. I'm going on one date with him.''

Bella went over to the door and let Edward inside. Edward introduced himself to Charlie and reassured him it's just a baseball game with his family. Hayley remembered that Alice invited Hayley to that but Hayley didn't knew Bella was coming.

Edward and Bella made it to the destination to see Hayley already there. ''Alice invited me and gave me a lift.'' Hayley went over to Bella and dragged her to everyone.

''It's time!'' Alice giggled, took the ball and went into her position. Edward and Emmett  went into their position ready to run and Carlisle gave Rosalie the bat. Esme stayed with the girls.

Alice threw the ball which went really fast but Rosalie hit it very high and started running. ''That's definitely a home run right?'' Hayley asked Esme. ''Edwards really fast.'' she smiled. Rosalie was fast but not fast enough, before she got to home base Esme caught the ball. ''You're out.'' Bella spoke softly.

''Woo! Out!'' Rosalie glared at Emmett. ''Aw. Come on babe it's just a game.'' Rosalie walked by Bella glaring her and brushing the dirt off of her jacket. She went to stood beside Hayley and crossed her arms. ''Hey, don't hate the player, hate the game.'' she looked at Rosalie.

Carlisle walked up to the bat and sent the ball flying even higher than Rosalie. Emmett and Edward jumped into the air but accidentally bumped into each other.

Next up was Jasper who was swinging his bat in different ways. He hit the ball and ran. Emmett climbed up a tree and catch it. ''My monkey man.'' Rosalie smiled. Of course he was out and it was Rosalie's turn.She hit the ball and took off running. Hayley was cheering her on until Alice yelled to the group.

''Stop!'' The family could sense that another group of vampires was coming. Everyone ran together quickly and went in front of Bella and Hayley. ''They were leaving but they heard us.'' Edward was trying to flee with Hayley and Bella.

''It's too late.'' Carlisle sighed and Edward started to slowly walk back to his family. ''Put your hair down.'' Alice hurried to Hayley.

Hayley quickly put her hair down and Alice came in front of her. ''Don't say anything and don't make eye contact.'' Rosalie whispered to Hayley.

What is going on?

Soon a group came out of the woods and were now 10 feet away from the Cullens. The dark skinned man in the middle held up the baseball the Cullens were playing with. ''I believe this belongs to you.'' he tosses it to Carlisle. ''I am Laurent. And this is Victoria and James.'' 

Hayley noticed the group wasn't wearing any shoes. How could they not? It was freezing outside. Unless. Vampires. She also noticed their eyes were red. That made her afraid but she stood her ground.

''I'm Carlisle. This is my family.'' Carlisle spoke. ''Hello.'' Laurent greeted. ''I'm afraid your hunting activities have caused something of a mess for us.'' Hayley realised that the 3 were the ones responsible for the 'animal' attacks.

''Our apologise. We didn't realise the territory had been claimed.'' it was extremely obvious he wasn't sincere about the apology he had given. ''Yeah. Well, we maintain a residence nearby.'' ''Really?'' Laurent chuckled while looking at James.

''Well we won't be a problem anymore. We were just passing through.'' ''The humans were tracking us but we led them east.'' Victoria leaned forward. ''You should be safe.'' she whispered.

''Excellent.'' Hayley saw how calm Carlisle was. ''So could you use three more players?'' Laurent laughed. The family looked at Carlisle to see what he would decide.

''Oh come on. Just one game.'' ''Sure. Why not? A few of us were leaving. You could take their place. We'll bat first.'' Carlisle threw the ball back to the three where Victoria intercepted it. ''I'm the one with the wicked curveball.'' she smirked.

''Oh well I think we can handle that.'' Jasper laughed. Everyone laughed as well and started to walk away. Edward was still standing in his place but Hayley and Bella were exchanging looks at each other wondering why Edward wasn't moving.

James was starting to walk away before the wind blew. He turned around to face Edward. ''You brought a snack.'' he smirked before trying to jump onto Bella. The Cullens had already jumped infront of Bella blocking her from getting eaten.

''The girls are with us.'' Carlisle tried to reason with them. ''I can see the game is over.'' Laurent started to back away seeing the group of three were outnumbered. Victoria followed Laurent but looked back at James. ''James.'' she hissed.

Together the three left but Hayley had an uneasy feeling this wasn't the last time they will meet. ''Get Bella out of here.'' Carlisle pushed Edward towards the Jeep. Hayley tried to follow her sister but Alice took her hand.

''I'll get you there.'' she said. ''Okay. See you there Bells.'' Hayley called her sister. As a response Bella nodded back and sat in the Jeep. ''Come on.'' Alice walked to another car.
