Chapter 18: Scandal

Isang tawag ang gumising sa akin. Mamayang gabi pa ang shooting ko kaya dapat ay bumabawi ako ng tulog ngayon pero nasira ang plano ko.

Inis kong tiningnan ang pangalan ng caller pero lumambot ang ekspresyon ko nang makita ko ang pangalan ni manager Rivero. I immediately answered it.

"Ate Yara, good morning." I greeted.

"Look at the Stellarium." Nagulat ako dahil nahimigan ko ang pagtitimpi sa boses niya nang sabihin niya iyon.

Pinatay niya ang tawag nang hindi hinihintay ang tugon ko. Manager Rivero had been friendly with me ever since we've met. Ngayon lang siya naging ganito sa akin.

I opened my Stellarium and got shocked. There were photos of me and director Remoroza yesterday! We're smiling, hugging, and even the part where he ruffled my hair was captured.

I sighed dahil number one trending ang Sai the flirt newbie. I finally understood why manager Rivero had acted like that earlier.

My phone rang. It's Jasen...

He must have seen the so-called scandal. I calmed myself and answered the call.

"Baby, are you okay?" His voice was full of worry. I bit my lower lip.

"I'm fine. Nakita mo?"

"Hmm."

"It was not-" he cut me off.

"I know. Nagtanong na 'ko sa gago bago kita tinawagan. He explained everything." The relaxed tone of my man's deep husky voice gave me satisfaction.

Thank goodness, he's not jealous and mad.

"I'll pick you up in Starlight. Go there."

Agad akong naligo at nagbihis. Nakita ko si Jaze na kumakain ng almusal kaya humalik ako sa pisngi niya.

"I have an emergency. Babawi si mama bukas, ha?" I said, hoping he could understand.

Jaze gave me a smile. "I've seen it, mama. I'll help you later. You should go. I'll be fine on my own."

I took a deep breath and stared at him. Time really passed by so quickly. Parang kailan lang ay nasa sinapupunan ko pa siya pero ngayon ay nakakaintindi na siya sa murang edad.

Ibinilin ko siya kay Jesse bago ako umalis soot ang isang gold-framed fashion glasses, black oversized cropped shirt na may print na queen sa harap, high waisted denim mom jeans, and white rubber shoes na may black linings sa gilid.

Hinayaan kong nakalugay ang buhok ko para hindi ako makilala at nagsoot ng backpack. With my outfit, I looked like a senior high school student so I boldly commuted towards Starlight.

Bumaba ako sa taxi matapos kong magbayad at napangiwi dahil nakita ko ang sandamakmak na mga reporters from different media station na nag-aabang sa akin. I ignored them and go to the side entrance.
