Chapter 21: Concert and Family Day

Iniwan ko muna kay Jasen si Jaze na napagod kalalaro kahapon. His father brought him to their own amusement park.

Isang araw pa lang silang magkakilala but their closeness was on par to that of the father and son who had been together since birth.

Masaya ako dahil nakikita kong bumabawi si Jasen sa anak namin. Masaya rin ako dahil iba ang saya ni Jaze kumpara sa mga nakaraang taon na ako lang ang kasama niya. Mas doble kasi ang saya niya nang makilala ang ama.

I smiled. It's really hits different when you grew up in a complete family.

Nang huminto ang van ay agad akong bumaba para hindi ma-delay ang concert. Ang bagal kasi ng daloy ng trapiko sa may Gaiah Avenue kaya medyo late na nang dumating ako.

I apologized to the organizers before entering. Agad naman akong inayusan ng stylist at make-up artist. Half an hour later, I'm all set.

I was wearing a black tank-top, black baggy pants, and red ankle boots. My long hair was braided and neatly draped on my shoulder. My make up was pretty heavy, making me looked fierce.

The staff told me to stand by kasi pinapatay pa ng Dayamond ang oras para humaba ang concert time.

"Naku-curious ba kayo kung paano naging guest ang isang actress sa concert namin?" It was Areeyah.

"I've read some speculations online and I don't know if I should get angry or laugh at them. I mean, you know us, Crystals. We have high standards for our guests in every concerts we held. We're quite hurt when you said we're swindled by money." Dakota smiled bitterly.

"This time, we wanted to show you that she was really qualified to be here with us. If not for the fact that she chose to be an actress, I could guarantee that she could become our fifth member." Adeline followed.

"Please welcome, our next guest that will accompany us to sing and dance our latest single, Nirvana, Sai Santander." As Yajira introduced me, the lights in the stage dimmed and the staff motioned me to go up.

I nodded and do as he said. I positioned myself behind Dakota just like how we practiced. After the staff below signalled, the stage lit up.

Dakota did the intro. Areeyah, Adeline, Yaji, and I waved our bodies in different direction to give Dakota space so the audience will see her.

Humiwalay kami at nagtungo sa kaniya-kaniya naming mga blockings while doing the right footworks. Yajira's lines followed so I turned around and moved my hips.

Adeline sang her part so I swayed my hands while doing a footwork. I moved my elbows while swaying my hips, harmonizing each other as they went in the same direction.

I walked towards the director of Areeyah to switch our positions when she finished singing her line.

"Baby your love is like a phoenix
Sa tuwing nilalamon ng lungkot at lumuluha-
it gives me a feeling of life..." I sang

Areeyah: "life..."

Yajira: "life."

Dakota: "Baby you gave me nirvana."

Adeline: "You made me feel like I'm reborn."

"Hindi sasayangin ang pagkakataon." I sang and swayed my body like a gentle wave in the calm sea.

Yajira: "pagkakataong ibinigay ng panahon."

Areeyah: "kamay mo'y hahawakan,"

Adeline: "at hindi bibitiwan."

"Kalaban man natin ang kalawakan." I smiled and winked. Nagsigawan ang mga manonood sa ginawa ko kaya natatawa akong nakipagpalit ng pwesto kay Dakota while maintaining our blockings.
