Hi guys! You definitely wouldn’t like this chap because of Angela’s heartbreak. Here it is.

----------

I had a misunderstanding with my best friend. This lunch time, I saw him with Rebecca. And dismissal time, I saw them going home together. Why is it this hard?

“Ange! Ange!” someone called me.

“What?”

“I need you to do something for me.”

“Why? I thought ‘It’s selfish for you to trust me’ again?” I repeated what he’d said and rolled my eyes, making my way to the door.

“Please, Ange. That was a mistake. I will do everything for you if—“

“You’ll do everything? As in everything?”

“Yes. Please, just do this.” He smiled at me.

“Okay, what is it?”

“I want you to arrange a dinner at a resort with the romantic air everywhere and candlelights,” he said happily. “I’m going to ask Rebecca to be my girlfriend.”

My eyes widened in shock. Is he serious? “Wha-what did you just say?”

“I don’t want to repeat myself, Ange. You should’ve recorded it and play it again and again,” he laughed softly.

Tears were forming above my lower lashes. “Okay. I need to get going and reserve that. Just text me what to do.” I faked smile.

“Okay. . .” he trailed off.

--------

“You should’ve confessed earlier to avoid what’s happening now,” my mind said.

“I can’t. I don’t want to ruin our friendship. I don’t care if he wouldn’t know about my feelings, at least he’s happy.” I replied.

God, I must be out of my mind! Talking to myself. Should I go to the mental hospital? Ahhh so many things in my mind! Can you please get out? It’s really really bothering me.

Oh, gosh. I think I need to make reservations for the dinner. I forgot! And I thought of a better idea. Why won’t I just lend a helicopter so that by the time they’re done eating and chatting, I can make the petals of the roses fly down and loosen the banner.

“Do you really  think you can do that?”

“What?” I replied again, realizing it was the voice from my mind. “You know, Angela the Second, please shut up because I’m already confused.”

My cellphone rang. What a great timing.

“Hello?”

“Ange, is the reservations done?”

“Yeah, they approved awhile ago. And by the way Lyle, I’m thinking that we should lend a helicopter and drop a banner that says, “Will you be my girl?”. Is that okay with you?”

“I don’t know what to say Ange! Thanks for supporting me! I never should’ve said that yesterday.” He apologized. “Are you willing to forgive me?”

“Of course! You’re my best friend and I must do everything you say,” I said.

“You sound like I’m making you my maid or something.”

“I didn’t mean it that way, Lyle. Sorry. Anyways, you should get ready. And I too. This night might turn out to be the most romantic night in your life ever.” I said in a tone that I never use.
