real life;

louise was starring at the light coming from her laptop, which lit up her face in the dark room, while alex layed sleeping next to her. she waited until their new song dropped, when she heard a knock on her door.

"a second," she spoke quietly, but still loud enough.

"happy song release," kit said, when she came out to him, closing the door behind her.

"you're too sweet, thank you," she whispered, when she saw the cookie in his hands, with the words 'love is embarrassing (no it really is)' on it.

"i saw that you like celebrating song releases," he smiled.

"been stalking me? that's hot."

she made her way to the kitchen, grabbing herself a water from the fridge, offering one to him as well.

"did you write it about me?" he said, as he took his water.

"yes," she answered truthfully.

he didn't expect that. for her to answer so honestly.

"i'm sorry."

"don't be. i fucked up too. and i'm sorry too. i really am."

he took in her details, her face which was only shone on by the moon.
"you're so pretty," he whispered, very quiet.

"thank you. don't look too bad yourself," she laid her head to the side.

"don't worry, i'll take care of it," she said disappearing again.

he didn't knew what she meant, but maybe that was just the way it was supposed to be.

_

the next morning she stood in the kitchen in her pajamas, brewing espresso.

"where's alex?" a familiar voice interrupted him.

"home," she answered.

"why? i thought he had this whole romantic suprise planned."

"he did. but we talked and decided that it is better to separate."

his heart did a little flutter, as he heard the news and watched how she drank her espresso.

maybe their chance wasn't over.
