"ℍ𝕦𝕞𝕒𝕟 𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕔𝕖, 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕠𝕚𝕟𝕘?"Turning my head, I noticed that both Noi and Pierce were standing beside me staring between me and my computer. It had barely been maybe half an hour since Ava's been gone and they all decided to give up on figuring out the clothing since they were in no rush to leave the house without Ava present. They had left me to my own devices and would run into the wall, something I still didn't understand but I wasn't about to risk crushing my nose over. I looked around to see if Asch or Leif would be present as well, though it didn't look like they were.
"Ah, hey Noi. I'm just finishing up some assignments for the day."
He gasped, his cheeks turning a rosy pink as his eyes gleamed in a sparkly matter. It was now that I realized that he never took off his clothes, dawning two layers of shirts and pants which left me internally giggling. "You said my name!" I only smiled, almost tempted to pet his head as if he was a golden retriever, but I resisted for his dignity. "Yeah, I used your name earlier too, when I took the shorts off your head." He only grew more red, almost embarrassed at the memory from earlier. "Oh- yeah, you're right."
"Anyways, what kinda assignments do you do? They seem important since you're constantly looking at your magic rune!" I turn towards my screen, the white webpage having been burned into my retinas. I didn't know how to explain the education system or what I was majoring in to a bunch of magic hungry demons. I pondered what I was going to say, shrugging to myself. "Well, my studies are rather different than what you'd think. Sure, I do follow Ava's teaching and aid her here and there, I also seek out other forms of education that fits my interest and wants. Like, I have a large interest in garments, clothing you see."
"Clothing, like those of the sacred mall?" Pierce spoke up, brow raised as spoke with interest. Noi only awed, looking at my screen to see if he could read anything. Could they even read English? I mean, they can speak it. "Whoa! So you can make magic infused armor!? Amazing!"
"Well, it's something like that. I like creating gowns and simple daily outfits. I want to design something that would make the wearer feel powerful and encouraged to feel great. Empower them in a way. At least, that's how I see it." I finished my short rant, looking over my papers of past designs and the approved works. All of which being designs I've made but left in my childhood home as they were protected and safe there rather than in my old dingy dorm room. I sometimes wish I could have brought them with me, but I wouldn't have had any reason to wear such beautiful outfits. Pierce only hummed in acknowledgement, Noi only staring in confusion.
"So, do you stare at your rune to gain magic to later infuse your garments in? Like how those human women in that book wore armor to battle each other." Now I was confused, wondering what book he was talking about, tilting my head. "Um, sure I guess. Though, I'm mainly just studying other courses and lessons that I take for fun. Plus, I enjoy other subjects and excel in others, so it'd look good on my resume to be a knowledgeable intellectual for any future jobs." I nodded, finishing up another paragraph before sighing, taking a sip of water as Noi only praised me for my intellect.
"Resume?"
"Didn't you go to school growing up? Or do you guys not have such a thing, a place of learning, that is."
This seemed to kinda shock the two, both looking at each other as they didn't seem to know how to answer my question. Pierce only nodded silently as Noi only groaned in wonder, thinking back to his earliest memories it would seem. "Well, education isn't that important. Rhys could probably explain it better, but I never went to school!"
"Neither did I." I felt bad at the thought, connecting the dots as to why they were so braise and rude at times, considering the fact that they never learned manners. I suddenly felt grateful that I was blessed to be able to go to school and learn valuable lessons in life via the educational system. "Ah, I see. Sorry for pushing."
