Chapter 15- Comfort

Percy's P.O.V

When we got to the tower I smiled and started to walk to my bedroom. I could hear Clint following me.

When we got to my room he opened the door for me, I muttered a quick thanks and tried to search for my Pajamas.

"Looking for these?" Clint asked

I blushed a bit red, "Yeah." I said taking the cloths to the bathroom to change.

When I got back out I could tell Clint was on my bed. It was really comforting, Clint called Jack into the room, he didn't have a collar on for right now because the ones Fred had rubbed on his neck and hurt him.

Jack jumped up onto the bed and I smiled. It seemed like I had Jack forever, but I was only 9 and he was, maybe 7. I cuddled Jack as Clint started to raise the bed sheets to cover me.

I mumbled a thanks to him as I was quickly falling asleep once more. It was still the middle of the night when Shield rescued us and I was still tired.

"Goodnight Clint." I said

"Goodnight Percy." Clint whispered and gave me a kiss on the forehead which I would later forget in the morning.

"What's going to happen?" I asked fighting to stay awake.

"What do you mean?" Clint asked looking at me

I shifted a bit and sat up, "Now that Shield knows I'm an experiment," I hesitated, "will they take me away from you." I said in a small voice.

Clint pulled me into his lap and hugged me tightly. He kissed the top of my head, "I won't let that happen you got that." He said sternly

I nodded and hugged him tightly burying my head in his chest

I'm almost crying because of this. And I'm in school, this is so emotional...

"Get some sleep kiddo." Clint said

I nodded and let go of him going back under my covers, "Goodnight d-Clint." I was almost tempted to say dad but I decided against it, for now at least, maybe soon. Maybe. With those words I fell into sleep not hearing Clint say, "Goodnight Percy and I hope you will call me dad soon. You need someone and I'm here. Always."

Clint's P.O.V

I made my way to my room. Thinking about what Percy said, Shield better not take him away.

Even for the short time I met him I still love him a lot. It wouldn't be fair for him, he doesn't want these powers or shield on his back.

I sighed and entered my room where Natasha was already waiting I kissed her once," How'd it go?" She asked

"Fine, but he's worried about shield on his back and afraid that they would take him away from me." I said biting my lip a bit in thought.

Natasha came to me and wrapped her arms around me, "If they try, we'll stop him. Now let's get some sleep I'm tired." I muffled a laugh in her hair and got dressed for bed. Wrapping an arm around Natasha I fell asleep.

It was around 5 in the morning when something was pushing my shoulder, I felt a smallish hand and knew it was Percy.

I rolled over to look at him and he looked bad, "What's wrong." I asked the boy who had tear stains on his face and a small quivering lip.

He said in a small scared voice, "I had a nightmare, about last time I was with fred, before you guys." Percy said

Natasha looked at Percy as he explained and she moved over a bit, telling me she didn't mind if Percy came in the bed with us.

"Would you like to sleep with us?" I asked the boy

He nodded his head and climbed onto the bed and went in between Natasha and me. He had his head on the pillow and was looking at me.

I wiped some hair that fell into his face and said, "Get some sleep, we're right here." He nodded and closed his eyes.

I gave a kiss on his forehead than gave Natasha a thank you kiss and went back to sleep.
