Chapter 2- Second Meeting

Clint's P.O.V

We all woke up around 9 Am. Steve woke up earlier but we all officially woke up around 9 A.M. Which is actually early, for Tony at least. We thought about going camping in a forest not to far from here. We got everything packed and got ready to head out.

The forest had a beach near it and had ponds and lakes that connected to each other. All in all, it was a great camping spot. We got there and started to unpack, there was a section where it is owned by someone.

Tony looked it up and it said Sally Jackson, the person who owned the land. She was the wife of Poseidon but both died and left their money to Perseus Jackson.

Poseidon owned some of Olympian Incorporation, his brother Zeus and Hades owned different things. Poseidon worked with boats, Zeus with airplanes, and Hades with Subways and trains. I don't know why their parents named them after Greek gods but oh well.

We started to unpack our items, we were far enough from the borders of Sally's property that we didn't cross it. I think we all kept thinking about the Percy kid we bumped into, I thought I saw a black eye but I don't know for sure.

It was...odd. The kid seemed like he was uneasy about us, well not Natasha. He wasn't all that relaxed, I thought it was because he couldn't walk or anything. But after he got his dog he still seemed uneasy.

I decided to take that off my mind and actually try and enjoy this vacation. We did hear on the radio that the man who tried to shoot Percy was arrested for attempted murder and I guess he robbed a bank.

It was around 12 so we all decided to cook some Hot Dogs and listen to some music for a little bit.

That is until I saw something, more like two somethings, in a tree watching and leaning against the bark or the tree taping to the rhythm of the music that was playing. I quickly told the team and we all got up.

"Who's there?" Tony asked, the kid jumped a bit. He then jumped down from the tree and waved and said, "Sorry bout that, heard the music couldn't help but listen, we met yesterday. If you want I can leave and let you guys enjoy your...vacation?" He asked then I realized it was Percy from yesterday.

We all whispered, just as the kid was turning away I called out. "Nah it's fine Percy come on. Want a hot dog?" he smiled and nodded, patting his leg, Jack then came over and helped Percy over to the small fire that was going for the hot dogs to be cooked manually.

Percy walked over to a log and sat down, Jack followed. I gave him a stick with a hot dog on it and helped him put it over the fire.

We waited and told him when to pull it out and eat it. He smiled and took another bit, after swallowing he said, "Thanks, my stepfather never did this for me." His voice sounded a bit far away.

Steve then spoke up, "Where is your stepfather Percy?" He asked concerned, I mean this kid was in the forest without supervision. I notice Percy tense a lot, like rigid tense.

I put my hand on his shoulder and jumped at the touch, I drew my hand back carefully and Bruce spoke up, "Percy does he abuse you?" I could tell his doctor was taking over.

"No, why would you think that!" He said it way too quickly, we knew it was a lie. We all looked at each other then back at Percy.

"Percy you can tell us." Bruce said again

Percy looked annoyed and I think a bit scared, "Why do you care! Like I would tell anyone that I'm abused! Which I'm not!" He said quickly, "No one cares about me or my dog!" With that he got up and ran with Jack right by his side. I could tell this kid had a hard life just by the response.
