Chapter 4- Revalations

Steve's P.O.V

I woke up at my normal 0600 time, for those not use to people in the army that would be 6 A.M. I was walking down the hallway when I heard some crying. I realized that it was coming from Percy's room.

I walked fast hopping not to wake the others and opened the door slowly. I look and see Percy in a small ball right by Jack who was licking Percy's face. "Hey Percy, Steve here, what's wrong."

Percy whimpered and said, "I want Clint." I was shocked, I guess he really liked Clint, "I'll be right back with Clint buddy ok?" I saw Percy nod his head and I got to Clint's room and knocked.

"You better have a good reason to wake me up." He said

"Percy's having a nightmare and asked for you, he won't tell me what's wrong." That got Clint up and we went to Percy's room.

Clint's P.O.V

When Steve said Percy had a nightmare I was up, I really liked the boy, maybe it was because he was abandoned at a young age. He didn't know but he knew he didn't want the boy to know he was alone.

When I got there Percy was curled up in a ball. "Hey Percy, what's wrong?" I asked concern in my voice was obvious. I took a quick glance at Steve only to see a smirk. I frowned and then kept my eyes on Percy.

"Nightmare. Bout Gabe"

I went over to the bed and pulled him in my arms cuddling him, "Shh, it's ok. You're never going back to him if I have a say in it." I whispered to the shaking boy. I knew I was getting to close to Percy but it doesn't matter right now.

Percy nodded and his cries went smaller along with his whimpers. "You ok now." Percy nodded and I let go of him, I look back to the doorway to see it empty. I sent a slight prayer that he wasn't going to tell the rest of the team.

"Can you fall back asleep or do you want breakfast?" I asked nicely

Percy than mumbled, "I wanna go back asleep daddy." My heart did a flip but I controlled my emotions. I kissed the top of his head.

"Ok, go back to sleep Perce." Percy nodded and I helped him back under the covers. I was to awake now and went to the kitchen after getting dressed, not just in my boxers and shirt. I walk in and see Steve there. I poured myself a cup of coffee and we sat in silence.

"Is Percy ok?" Steve asked

"Yeah, he should be back asleep now."

Steve nodded then said, "You're actually good with kids." I smiled inside my head and shrugged to answer Steve's comment.

After a few moments of silence Steve spoke again, "Percy really likes you, and I can tell you feel the same reason." I nodded and decided to tell him a little about my life when I was young but not much.

"My parents also died when I was young, I guess I just don't want Percy to feel he's all alone." I said shrugging acting like it was nothing.

Steve looked like he was in his head for a bit until he commented, "You never really talk about when you were young."

"And I'm not going to tell that much more, only Romanov knows my life story for I know hers." Steve raised an eyebrow but then shrugged and said, "I'm going for a run, wanna come?" I shook my head and went down to the training area and practice shooting arrows.

I went back upstairs to the kitchen seeing it was around 10:30. Knowing breakfast should be happening soon. I walk in a see that breakfast is almost down by Bruce. I took a seat next to Natasha and she whispered, "I noticed you woke up early today, why?"
